Back in the December 1994 issue of SAE, Tim Boyd had an article about refurbishing a Johan 63 Chrysler. I wanted to do one since I read it. Early this year I found my 63, and began the work, this is the result..

in Tim's article the kit was 30 years old....mine is 57...The engine is a 413 from the AMT 49 Mercury kit, the wheels are from the parts box, paint is TS-46 outside & TS-32 for the interior....comments welcome

Great looking build. I like the engine details and the wheels. I would drive that everyday if it were a 1:1.

Al....way sharp and glad to know you were inspired by the article.  I think your choice of the AMT '49 Merc 413 Wedge and the wheel tire combo you chose are right on the money.  I'd love to see a 1/1 '63 300 built just as you build yours....

Thanks for sharing and way to go!  TIM
