This cruise night usually brings in well over 500 cars every week. It’s held at a church, and it’s only a buck to get in,that goes to the church. Here’s some pics. And a picture of my friends drag racing diorama. And all the cars in the diorama are modeled after some real cars that attend the show..

Wasn't that Econoline built by one of the garages that have/had a tv show ?

Yea it is possible,I think you might be right.Or it could’ve been a replica.I should’ve asked the owner.

This car has been around for years. And there’s something about it that I really like.I guess cause it’s old school. The mono chromed look, the unpolished center lines, and the side exhaust.IMO,it’s just a mean looking car.image.jpeg.57d2acfd39d3e3a2b1f47a813ab2e97b.jpegimage.jpeg.1bac796bae010dea76989386e5689676.jpeg

Great pix. Anyone understand why guys would kick the rear wheel out on that one bike? I have only seen that done in the south. Just a style thing maybe. I would think the extra length would destabilize it somewhat.

The extended swing arm is to keep the front down when they drag race, from what I can tell.  I can ask the kid at work that ran his at Norwalk this weekend. 8.4 in the 1/4 if I remember correctly.  Mostly stock except for the longer swing arm. I tell him he is a nut. LOL

As your friend hopefully continues to age he will come to the realization that he is no longer indestructible.

That thing has to be a handful at the track.

I talked to him today, and yes it is to keep the front down. He said he went 157 on that bike once this year.  The local Drag strip ( Milan) is closed and for sale.

Oh yea

Relooking at the black Matador picture I just noticed the interior. I remember some ads from AMC why back when and they were offering some designers interior as an option. Wasn't very common as I recall and if this car has that original interior it could be a very unusual car in deed.

Yes! Gas Monkey Garage did that for Hot Wheels. There is supposed to be a Hot Wheels car done!
