Will the 1/8 trans am be released in the US?  I don't think they can use the trans am name here since someone else owns the license to it

They will probably just call it a Firebird like AMT did for their 1/16 kit re-release, if that indeed is the case.

Where's the T-tops? Weren't they on the last issue?

When I zoomed to look at Wolverine, the lines are there. I’d say Artistic License. Not a lot of T-tops in EU then or now.

Looks like release date is sometime in June, and the price will probably be around $180 from what I'm seeing so far. Would be nice to pick up but I'm not sure my wife would let me spend that much on a kit. ?

Was here last night: https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/list/2302/0/1

...but is no longer. Is listed for pre-order on multiple sites, if you search using the kit number.

Thanks Casey!

I think I may have found it here:

Looks like the picture you posted above. I wonder what shipping will be to the states?

I can`t wait! I am actually still kind of shocked they are doing it. I have been hoping for this for probably close to 20 years.

Stevens International just gave us official kit numbers for the RoG boxings of a slate of new releases and opened preorders. Here are some of the ones that seem to be the big attention getters.

1971 Ford Mustang Boss 351 - RVL #7699
1971 Oldsmobile 442 Coupe - RVL #7695
1/8th scale 1979 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am - RVL #7710
1969 Camaro SS - RVL #7712
1965 Shelby Cobra 427 - RVL #7708

Is Revell (as a whole) releasing the above in both Euro (flat-ish) and American style boxes? I don't think the most recent 1/8 scale kit, the '65 Vette, was ever released in a U.S. style packaging.

Boy, I know others are happy, but that list is a huge, steaming pile of "Meh!" to me. Even the New Tool kits are not in my wheelhouse. Maybe better kits next year.....

Does anyone have an idea what it will cost for shipping to the US for the big 1/8 kit?

I generally don't like to criticize other people's creative work, but the expressions on the people in that Trans Am box artwork look like a kidnapping-situation to my eyes.

Nah, being a Alpha male he tries to impress his girlfriend by driving fast, but due to his peanut brain he doesn't realise it scares her.

To me, she's saying "You spent all the money my mom left us for a house down payment on this POS?" He's trying to convince her this was a good idea, with no success whatsoever. :lol:

The driver kind of looks like early 80s Kurt Russell channeling Abe Lincoln.  Or Wolverine.

I was thinking Kenny Powers, but upon closer inspection, I agree with you.
