Dominik Posted December 19, 2021 Posted December 19, 2021 Porsche 911 Turbo Coupe Flatnose (Tamiya, #24070, 1/24) I built that in 1987 and was painted couple years later in white metallic. Last year i stripped it and overhauled it. the first time i used nail paint - it is awesome!
TransAmMike Posted December 19, 2021 Posted December 19, 2021 And yet another great looking build by you. ?
happy grumpy Posted December 19, 2021 Posted December 19, 2021 Not my favorite porches ( I prefer the round head lights) but I love what you have done with it . Beautiful color and finish. Great build Dominik, as usual. The color sure looks beautiful. and glossy.
espo Posted December 19, 2021 Posted December 19, 2021 The finish looks great as does the trim. Wonder what color this will be the next time you post photos of it?
89AKurt Posted December 20, 2021 Posted December 20, 2021 A favorite subject of mine! I've done a few models with nail 'polish' paint, there is a great selection of colors, the metallics are finer grain than (now discontinued) Model Master, and the pearls are nice too. Very nice restoration.
beeRS Posted December 20, 2021 Posted December 20, 2021 Looks fantastic! Are all nail paints lacquer based?
classic Posted December 20, 2021 Posted December 20, 2021 Looks great in nail polish! Very 80's ? Atb, Steve.
Zippi Posted December 20, 2021 Posted December 20, 2021 kewl looking little Porsche. That color looks really sharp. All the black trim work looks great. Nice job.
70 Sting Posted December 20, 2021 Posted December 20, 2021 Totally worth the wait and effort (manicure)?.
Spottedlaurel Posted December 21, 2021 Posted December 21, 2021 Nice one Dominik! Imagine it at 1:1, it certainly makes a statement.
ATHU Posted December 22, 2021 Posted December 22, 2021 Outstanding job, looks fantastic!! Never thought that nail polish could be used for model cars.
bogger44 Posted December 22, 2021 Posted December 22, 2021 Nice crisp work on all the black trim. That's one good lookin' Porsche!

Very nice restoration. Thanks Kurt - yes, thats true with the paint. But i have not that best paintbooth to paint often with nail polish paint...normally i take spraycans and paint outside. i have to work on my place for painting in the basement...so i can use more of nail colors.
