Marc Weller Posted December 31, 2021 Posted December 31, 2021 It looks like I may finish this one. Starting to get the hang of water based paint. In this case I used Createx Candy2o over a pearl white base with silver and black shading and House of Kolor 2K clear. 4
NOBLNG Posted December 31, 2021 Posted December 31, 2021 I would say you’ve got the hang of it! That looks beautiful! And I love the looks of these Rivieras.?
Zippi Posted January 1, 2022 Posted January 1, 2022 Man oh man does that paint job look kewl. Looking good so far.
Marc Weller Posted January 4, 2022 Author Posted January 4, 2022 (edited) Finished the nailhead today. Just added ignition wires, otherwise straight out of the box. I even left the hole in the block for the metal axle even though I won’t be using them. Looks like I kicked a rod out of the side of the block. Should have changed my oil more often! Since I live up the street from Pegasus, their Astro Supreme wheel and tire set is an obvious choice. Did some light weathering on the chassis (wash, dry brush, and pastels). Not much left until final assembly. Edited January 4, 2022 by Marc Weller
espo Posted January 4, 2022 Posted January 4, 2022 I like the dirty looking chassis, as if driven on a regular basis.

Marc Weller Posted January 4, 2022 Author Posted January 4, 2022 No salt on the roads here !! You better stay off I-95 ! Seriously that is some great weathering.
Marc Weller Posted January 7, 2022 Author Posted January 7, 2022 (edited) Almost done. Just need to do grille and bumpers. Staying up late tonight. If everything goes well look for this under glass tomorrow. Edited January 7, 2022 by Marc Weller 1
