It runs past the axle without interfering with the path of the axle - its a real head scratcher … cant assemble the rear susp til ive figured this one out …. Of you happen to go to the Amelia concourse this weekend and the Brumos Junior Eight is there …. You mite see a some fool lying on his back under the tail of the car - be sure to say hello …

absmiami Posted March 11, 2023 Author Posted March 11, 2023 So i crawled put fr under the Boyle Special and drove home with some knowledge - and LOTS of pictures - the Boyle Special and the Junior Special are both “wide chassis” 122’s with supercharged 122 engines - although the suspension fittings differ slightly - i am satisfied that some assumptions that i made about the suspension on the Junior Special were correct - for one - the bracket that secures the friction shock to the leaf spring makes a “dogleg” away fr the path of the axle ….

absmiami Posted March 12, 2023 Author Posted March 12, 2023 The shackle pins have grease fittings - so i got some .06 bolts and nuts fr Model Motorcars - they still sell much of the Scale Hardware line - i filed the threads from the ends of the 6 mm bolts - so the ends will poke out and sort of look like the grease fittings … 2

absmiami Posted March 15, 2023 Author Posted March 15, 2023 Exhaust pipe hand brake radiator cap oil lines fuel lines brake lines throttle line / housing hood straps and stays paint hood hinge and assemble hood clear coat and apply decals finish / correct appearance of seat leather radiator grill tie rod and steering arm and fasteners starter crank cyl head details carb intake horn route coolant lines correct paint flaws finish steering wheel finish \ attach windscreen finish wheels and spats lots of stuff … dont see the finish line yet but i’m on the last lap …
