I printed this Crosley body from a free file on Cults3d with some alterations I made prior to printing it. Now I need to grind out the wheel wells to fit the slicks, and figure out the body mounts.
The chassis is from the Mooneyes dragster kit. I had to design some adapters to move the rear wheels to behind the driver to make it work in this config tho. I also need to narrow the front axle.
The engine will be the SBC from the kit but I'm not sure whether which blower setup I'll use, the upright or Potvin.

Chopped '32 3 window from Ed Fluck...black or maybe maroon.

Now, for me personally, this is the quintessential Deuce coupe! Love the wheel/tire/stance combo.

I had someone tell me it's cheating to use 3d printed parts at the last HMCN....

New WIP. Chevy box van. Everything will be 3d printed for this build. I don't care how much resin I go through!

More pics as they come off the printers

That's a cool looking box van Ken.

I'll have to keep an eye out for it on the boards.

BTW I don't think using 3D printed parts or bodies is cheating. To me it's no different than buying a boxed kit to build then purchasing some aftermarket parts and PE to finish it out.

I built my first one in 1976 or 77!

This is the box I remember from then.

Yup. That exact box. I was born in 1976. In 1984 I went to visit my dad in Kuwait. Growing up in Eastern Europe under communist regime, such things like this kit were absolutely unheard of. not only that, but you could get in some serious trouble for just owning them. So my dad was sent to work in Kuwait for two and a half years and somehow managed to arrange for me to go visit him, which was also unheard of back then. After no seeing me for two years, he took me to a huge toy store (similar to what Toys'R Us used to look like) and let me fill a shopping cart with whatever I wanted. The very box you are showing was one of the items in that cart. I can never forget the little seats with their target screens (or whatever those things are) inside the cockpit. This was my very first serious aircraft kit, as the only thing that was ever available back home were crude commercial russian airliners. To this day I remember getting this Black Widow kit, a 1/16  black and grey Pontiac Trans Am (Knight Rider was really big on Kuwait TV at the time), a black Harley kit that OMG ? had brake lines, a WWII USNavy aircraft carrier and bunch of diecast and Star Wars stuff. Then back home I could build them, or more like ruin them LOL, but I could not even show them to anyone, because we could get in trouble.

Wow! ?

I can't even imagine the types of experiences you're describing. That's quite a story, thanks for sharing it.

Sanded and primed the car black. This is not the paint finish. Primed only. Molded in the hood scoop. Took the trunk humps out because it’s going to be a street car. Polished the windshield framework. Another mockup. Painting soon.

I want to build one stock ‘32 Coupe, so I grabbed this one for cheap. After building a couple of the newer Revell kits, all I can say is UGH!? I didn’t realize how minimal this kit is…so I am just going to correct the stance slightly, clean it up as best I can and put some lipstick on it.? I have few flat head engines kicking around, so I might swap it if I have a better one??

Thanks. All I’ve done so far is clean up some flash and pare down the spokes on the wheels…they looked a little thick. They still do, but much better than they were.? If I can get it looking as nice as the box art I’ll be more than happy.?

Cobbled this cabriolet together while looking for some parts for my 34 3w coupe build. Only got distracted for about 3 or so hours???

It’s rough, but it’s got the bones of a future build!

Well... I have never shared any photos of my models before. Here are some of the projects I have going on. Hope you like them. Made the hood for the 69 chevelle. Made a up top for the 69 camaro convertible. Made the 68 firebird into a convertible and making a up top for it.
