shoopdog Posted March 12, 2022 Posted March 12, 2022 Finished this Aoshima London Black Cab kit this week, one of five Aoshima kits given to me. I would have to say I’ve never seen one of these posted here before. Paint is Tamiya black over the molded black body, could have left it unpainted if it were not for mold lines. Thanks for looking.“The case of the bonnet open” 3
espo Posted March 12, 2022 Posted March 12, 2022 Great looking build. Unique way the kit did the engine, and the detail painting look good on this. I like the way the interior is done.
iamsuperdan Posted March 12, 2022 Posted March 12, 2022 I picked one of these up at the same time I grabbed Revell's London Bus kit. You did a nice job. Paint in particular looks really good.
cobraman Posted March 12, 2022 Posted March 12, 2022 That looks very nice. Not sure I ever saw one built up before.
bisc63 Posted March 12, 2022 Posted March 12, 2022 Nice! I really like your interior work, especially the color choices.
doorsovdoon Posted March 12, 2022 Posted March 12, 2022 Nice! I remember these very well with the suicide rear doors and fold down rear facing seats. One of these rear ended me during my driving lesson back in the day!

happy grumpy Posted March 14, 2022 Posted March 14, 2022 Beautiful rendition of the most recognized taxi in the world. When I bought that kit I was a little put off by the size, after some research I found out that the kit is closer to 1/22 than 1/24 so it looks bigger when compared to a true 1/24 scale. But it is a very nice kit as your model shows. Great build to be proud of.
'70 Grande Posted March 16, 2022 Posted March 16, 2022 Great looking build! I'm curious what year this model represents... I imagine those 1:1's were manufactured for a number of years.

The bodies didn't change too much in that time but the engines got upgraded quite often. Its also got the tightest turning circle of any car being able to do a 180 in just 2 lanes of traffic
