62 Catalina

Build started for the 2022 cannon ball. 1962 catalina. Cut off top, Shaped the windshield frame. The convertible boot from 65 GTO reshaped corners. lowered rearend. Made filler panels for ends of back seat. Wheels are from 70 firebird. Thanks for lookin. Comments welcomed

Just a stock convertible with custom wheels and tires. May do something different with exhaust.

Got the motor done. Stock, just added plug wires and chromed the valve covers.

Progress so far. Engine and chassis are mated. Interior painted. Still have to do some finishing touches to the dash. Body painted. Not to pat myself on the back but, by far the nicest black paint job I have ever done. No clear cote, Straight rustoleum gloss black spray over rustoleum white primer. Now getting really excited about finishing it. Can't wait to see it with all the chrome done. Thanks for looking.

Been enjoying watching your build. Your black paint job reminds of a friend's car that was also a Catalina convertible done in black with the maroon interior.
