dino246gt Posted June 14, 2022 Author Posted June 14, 2022 Made up a rear crossmember to glue the upper control arms to, although it's mostly hidden now, it was fun to do. Cheers! 2
Repstock Posted June 14, 2022 Posted June 14, 2022 (edited) Had a nit, but changed my mind about posting it. Nice model! Edited June 14, 2022 by Repstock

That's okay, it's not meant to be factory correct by any means, slightly hot rodded. You can post your criticism OR just message me, but I appreciate constructive criticism, that's how I learn!

Here goes: On most oil filters, the threaded side is "down", which would make your oil filter decal upside-down. I told you it was trivial. I still say nice model, though. 1
geemoney Posted June 15, 2022 Posted June 15, 2022 excellent! love it ALL my father showed up at my house when i was like 33-4 with a L-89 corvette conv. he said "i never bought you nothing cool when you were a kid, how bout this?" your engine reminded me of that day.

dino246gt Posted January 27, 2023 Author Posted January 27, 2023 Here's how that Malibu turned out: 4
NOBLNG Posted January 27, 2023 Posted January 27, 2023 That looks fantastic Dennis!? All the extra little details you added really make it stand out.?
espo Posted January 27, 2023 Posted January 27, 2023 Beautiful paint finish and I like the color. Engine detailing looks great. Perfect wheels for this body style.
catpack68 Posted January 27, 2023 Posted January 27, 2023 Very nice work Dennis! Hopefully you will post some more pics in the under glass section?
dino246gt Posted January 27, 2023 Author Posted January 27, 2023 What do you fine people think of door handles for this one? Should I or not?? Ciao 1

Ciao Ha, I did notice no door handles but figured you wanted the "shaved" look. It's certainly a matter of preference and me, I'd do the handles. Either way, it still looks good. Just my opinion.
Tcoat Posted January 28, 2023 Posted January 28, 2023 5 hours ago, dino246gt said: What do you fine people think of door handles for this one? Should I or not?? Ciao Door handles and a mirror. Oh and an air filter before you ruin that beautiful engine! 1
Dave72 Posted January 28, 2023 Posted January 28, 2023 Beautiful, very detailed build! Another one I picked up a bunch of tips and tricks on. My two cents on the door handles, I would put them on. Fireball Modelworks makes some very nice sets. I used them on my 66 Malibu 4D.
oldnslow Posted January 28, 2023 Posted January 28, 2023 Absolutely gorgeous , could you please show a pic of the rear body detail ?

MeatMan Posted January 28, 2023 Posted January 28, 2023 Beautiful work! Great attention to detail and light fabrication. Well done!
dino246gt Posted January 28, 2023 Author Posted January 28, 2023 (edited) Thank you all! I DO have the triangle air cleaner from the Corvette kit but leave it off for display! Here it is on. Didn't add decals because it's sort of a custom, not factory stock for sure! I WILL add door handles. Edited January 28, 2023 by dino246gt 3
