Ace-Garageguy Posted May 7, 2022 Posted May 7, 2022 Very nice. I'll be sure to watch the video too. Thanks for the link.
Kit Basher Posted May 16, 2022 Posted May 16, 2022 That is an amazing piece of work. I watched the videos on the benches. (I'm a woodworker, so those caught my attention.) Beautiful craftsmanship. I was wondering how you did the chamfers on the center stiles on the front panel of the outside benches. Your layering technique was brilliant. I hope to watch more of the videos as time permits.
TNT Posted May 28, 2022 Posted May 28, 2022 Holy BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH. Is that from scratch? What ever it is it is amazing. I love trains and cable cars. So much history. I did save the videos to watch later. When the kids were younger and we did a lot of traveling, we would ride the trains if they had them in town. Not sure how many trains we rode. Of course i would have to throw in a history lesson. It was not always about early transportation but about craftsmanship. Folks actually using saws and tools, hot rivets, and such. I better stop i could go on and on. Great work.
Dave Van Posted November 1, 2022 Posted November 1, 2022 Very well done!!!! I rode SF cable cars but not in SF!! Knott's Berry Farm bought some cable cars and installed them at the park.
Faust Posted November 12, 2022 Posted November 12, 2022 Dude, that's awesome! Fantastic work on everything; I am blown away!
Joe Nunes Posted November 15, 2022 Posted November 15, 2022 This model is so nice. Always wanted to take a ride on one of those. You have created a beautiful representation with your highly detailed model. Joe
hitchhiker Posted December 25, 2022 Author Posted December 25, 2022 I have created a homepage with many photos of my San Francisco cable car models. I am glad if you look in. http://www.hitchhiker.at/cablecar/
ewetwo Posted January 11, 2023 Posted January 11, 2023 (edited) Wow. Beautiful! My great grandfather use to run a trolley from Gloversville to Schenectady, New York. I think it had a name something like The Electric Run because Schenectady was the GE headquarters at the time. Edited January 11, 2023 by ewetwo 1
Bugatti Fan Posted January 16, 2023 Posted January 16, 2023 Lovely models Manfred. Is the model at the back of your last post made from the Occre kit?
hitchhiker Posted January 18, 2023 Author Posted January 18, 2023 Yes, the Occre kit served as the basis for this model.
