Modelbuilder Mark Posted June 1, 2022 Posted June 1, 2022 (edited) This past weekend, I finished up the Monogram Blue Bandito from the (2014?) reissue. One thing I did not notice when I first bought it when new until I started the project was that the front right fender was short shot, so I filled it in with melted sprue from the same kit, no filler, only primer was used. Paint is from an old bottle of Pactra Boyd Chezoom Blue, with 2K clear, unpolished. This was originally intended to be a box stock build, but the kit glass was too small for the frame, so I had to cut acetate to make the replacement glass. Still is a box top build tho. ? Zippi Posted June 2, 2022 Posted June 2, 2022 That's a good looking little old school Hot Rod. love the blue.
espo Posted June 2, 2022 Posted June 2, 2022 Great looking color and paint finish. I like the contrasting interior and the wide whites.
Steve H Posted June 2, 2022 Posted June 2, 2022 Very nice clean build Mark. Love the blue with the wood grain bed, it creates a fantastic contrast. Love that diorama too! Cheers, Steve
djmcguire Posted June 5, 2022 Posted June 5, 2022 Can't even tell where you had to re-work the fender...great results.
Mr. Metallic Posted September 8, 2022 Posted September 8, 2022 Great color choice on the body. Cool build.
