This is a redo of a Johan 1970 Cadillac Coupe Deville I did a couple of years ago. The clearcoat I used never cured properly so I had to strip the body. It sat for 2 years before I got the nerve to redo the bodywork and paint.

It's the same color scheme I used on a 1974 Eldorado with a set of Kelsey Hayes spokes and white walls from 3DScaleparts. The roof is covered with Model Car Garage's vinyl top kit.

Let me know what you think.

Thanks

Gorgeous Model!

The wire wheels really sell it.

Thanks David. Mike at 3DScaleParts makes really cool parts and these Kelsey Hayes wires are no exception. I think they add depth and life to the car.

Nice and clean caddy, well photographed.

The pictures were taken by my art school grad daughter. I'm still waiting for the invoice.

Very nice. Did you add the turn signal and shifter levers?

Yes. The shifter, turn signal and steering wheel adjuster stalks are scratch built as well as the interior lights and headliner. The visor are from Iceman Collections. The rearview and side mirrors, and door handles are from the Revell Caddy lowrider kit.

Hi Jay !

Oh yes it is !!!. Knowing what a regular Jo-Han's  interior looks like and what you did with it is great. The wood-grain paint treatment is awesome too. The wire wheels make her a bit more sporty and the color combo is a success. Did you rechrome the bumpers ?

Thanks again Jeff. The bumpers and all of the trim were done in BMF.

Gotta have a set of those wheels!!

They'd look fantastic on an upcoming 1959 Desoto Fireflite convertible I have planned!

Thank you Steve. Yes, those wheels will certainly work on your DeSoto.

I have another set with the wide whitewalls on a 1959 Cadillac Fleetwood. The Cadillac crests on the center caps are not well defined but a decal would take care of that.

A buddy of mine had one of these in the late seventies. A great cruiser, like floating on a cloud. Great build overall. The wheels fit the car perfectly. Outstanding work on the interior.
