crazyjim Posted June 12, 2022 Posted June 12, 2022 My latest completion is this '67 Impala SS. Paint is HOK tangelo pearl with a 2k clearcoat. engine is wired in the correct firing order, fuel line w/filter, throttle linkage, the chassis was "undercoated with Rustoluem texture paint. 3
ea0863 Posted June 12, 2022 Posted June 12, 2022 Fantastic! And the last photo is definitely the "money shot". It shows off the paint perfectly. The interior is great too, and the carpet is particularly impressive. How did you do that?
crazyjim Posted June 12, 2022 Author Posted June 12, 2022 Thank you Anthony, Lee, and Emre. Carpet is actually Ken's Fuzzi Fur flocking. The palstic was painted a color close to the flocking color. Elmer's glue spread out and then the flocking applied.
TransAmMike Posted June 12, 2022 Posted June 12, 2022 Very nice all around build Jim. I've always been a fan of the big performance cars like the '67. ?
crazyjim Posted June 12, 2022 Author Posted June 12, 2022 Thank you MIke. In training after boot camp one of the instructors had a '67 Impala with a 427 in it. heard him coming a mile away. It was marina blue with redline tires.
Nacho Z Posted June 12, 2022 Posted June 12, 2022 That is very nice, Jim! Engine bay, interior and paint are all so nicely done. Great job!
FLHCAHZ Posted June 13, 2022 Posted June 13, 2022 Very Nice! There is a 1:1 just like that here in Pittsburgh, I see if every one in a while at car shows/cruises.

espo Posted June 14, 2022 Posted June 14, 2022 Beautiful looking paint finish and color. Like the engine detailing and the interior.
Zippi Posted June 14, 2022 Posted June 14, 2022 That's a good looking orange Jim. Nice looking Impala SS.
crazyjim Posted June 14, 2022 Author Posted June 14, 2022 Thank you Bob. Not too bad for a Marine, huh?
bbowser Posted June 15, 2022 Posted June 15, 2022 The '67 is my favorite body style, excellent work on the foil and taillights. Well done.
