purepmd Posted July 14, 2022 Posted July 14, 2022 I wanted a different tanker, something other than petroleum, and have some friends that work for TMWA, in Reno, so, this is the result. Very basic, just an after-cooler 3406A, WFL 22” wheels, Revell 359 exhaust, and lots of cutting up Patriot decals. 2
Jim B Posted July 14, 2022 Posted July 14, 2022 That's one heck of the 352. I don't think you'll be making any tight turns with that one!
Warren D Posted July 14, 2022 Posted July 14, 2022 Looks great, certainly a truck for wide open spaces. Wouldn't work out too well in Boston or NYC....
1959scudetto Posted July 14, 2022 Posted July 14, 2022 Fantastic big sleeper Pete, could probably only be used in the western states where there is enough room.
vincen47 Posted July 15, 2022 Posted July 15, 2022 Love the look. Great to see a nice cab and chassis stretch. Not very many people put in the the effort required to make a 110” 352. Nice.
DRIPTROIT 71 Posted July 15, 2022 Posted July 15, 2022 Man that is one beautiful rig! I like your a/c unit! I like your modifications to the Cat as well. I have one of those coolers that think that I am going to put on a B motor. Your paint scheme looks amazing. The grill and the work around the headlights go along way in making this one look real. Excellent work all around.
purepmd Posted July 16, 2022 Author Posted July 16, 2022 My thanks to all who looked and took the time to reply. I appreciated the comments. Brian, I will have to take a close up of the a/c unit. I figured out, 1/350th scale, 4 blade ship propellers, look just like the stamped steel fan blades in these units. Also, H-O scale photo etched locomotive exhaust grilles, are a passable facsimile to the debris screens. Viewed from above, there are fans in the unit.
Jim Whalen Posted July 23, 2022 Posted July 23, 2022 Very sharp looking rig - with a striking paint-job!
GLMFAA1 Posted July 23, 2022 Posted July 23, 2022 Now we know where the lake Mead water went. Very nice job on the rig. greg
Dutzie Posted July 24, 2022 Posted July 24, 2022 Love the color combo on your builds. The colors go together well! Excellent work!
