NYLIBUD Posted July 26, 2022 Posted July 26, 2022 He played Wally on Leave it to Beaver, correct? That is a shame..RIP
TonyK Posted July 26, 2022 Posted July 26, 2022 Another one? <sigh> Don't believe I have seen him in anything but Leave it to Beaver but he was a big part of that show. Made you believe he would be a nice big brother to have.

He did in fact passed away. It is reported today. The Daily Mail is a U.K. tabloid newspaper. https://www.msn.com/en-us/entertainment/entertainment-celebrity/leave-it-to-beaver-actor-tony-dow-dies-at-77-after-cancer-battle-a-beautiful-soul/ar-AAZZJgc?li=BBnb7Kz

stavanzer Posted July 26, 2022 Posted July 26, 2022 The Daily Mail said that he was not dead, but Close, and that his own son reported that Mr. Dow was in Hospice, but not dead. He was close however to dying. The P.R. Flacks, jumped the gun.
cobraman Posted July 26, 2022 Author Posted July 26, 2022 I just read someone jumped the gun and he is still alive ! Â Sorry for the fake news report ! Â Â Big error on someoneÂ
slusher Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 when hospice is involved it’s bad and not long.  Just lost Paul Sorvino, and Pauley of the Sopranos so the older folks have a point it happens in threes….
ChrisBcritter Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 Something of a record, perhaps? With the recent promos on MeTV featuring Tony Dow and Jerry Mathers in character as Wally and Beaver, they have now played those same two roles for over sixty years.Â
Oldcarfan27 Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 Maybe the mainstream news media needs to learn to CONFIRM the news before they announce it! Not the first time.

Rodent Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 The news was posted on Dow's verified Facebook account by his P.R. team. I am not sure how far I would have gone to verify that it was true, considering the source it came from. It's not like TMZ posted a rumor or something.
Rodent Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 Well, it's official: He's really dead this time. Confirmed by his son.

When my mom was in institutional nursing care her health dwindled until Hospice was called in. They saved her life. Gave her the attentive care that the for-profit organization didn't and she got better. We moved her somewhere else and she lived comfortably for a few more years. Hospice, angels beyond measure. 1
NYLIBUD Posted July 29, 2022 Posted July 29, 2022 My mother, may she rest in peace, wound up in hospice care. She lasted about a month, and then passed away.It was actually a good thing when she passed away. She was out of pain.RIP mom.?
