Whosurdaddy209 Posted December 24, 2022 Posted December 24, 2022 I’m thinking this should be legal, I’ll throw mine in as a 1968 FRC corvette.
White Rabbit Posted December 25, 2022 Author Posted December 25, 2022 (edited) We definitely have a great variety of vehicles for the race! Edited December 25, 2022 by White Rabbit

It's a 61 Falcon I'm building as a track day car. You'll be fine with your Falcon!

Such a visceral experience driving one of these. Listen to Chris Titus' stand up bit on his Viper. Hilarious. 1

'66 Mercury (Sam I Am) I am going to do both (fingers crossed) the AMT/Model King 1970 1/2 Camaro Z28, and the MPC 1967 Streaker Vette (latest reissue). Whichever comes out better will be my entry for the contest.
vekasiini Posted December 26, 2022 Posted December 26, 2022 Hi! Is it possible to imagine according to the rules. Dodge L-XXX with V12 639 cid Hemi engine. The factories have been in production with two V8 engines, but one V12?
Keef Posted December 26, 2022 Posted December 26, 2022 Would this count as 25% started? Interior is finished but everything else needs to be done. Would give me a reason to finally finish it up. 2
KWT Posted December 26, 2022 Posted December 26, 2022 (edited) Opened it up today to get a look... I don't know exactly which direction I'm going with this yet, but it's gonna fun... Edited December 26, 2022 by KWT 1

If so, then yes, engine swaps are definitely allowed. I'm planning an H12 in a Delorean!

Spottedlaurel Posted December 27, 2022 Posted December 27, 2022 I had this idea several weeks ago when there was a possibility it could have been a wagon or mid-engined theme, and a quick bit of measuring and comparing today shows it to be a viable option so I'm going to make good use of the RWYB theme to declare this as my entry: It's going to be the NSX's mid-mounted V6 in the loadbay of the Accord, complete with its rear suspension and the majority of the floorpan. A bit of work is required as the Accord is unsurprisingly longer than the NSX, but the width is close. Looking to keep the bodywork as subtle as possible, with the odd discreet intake. The Aoshima kit helpfully includes tinted glass, so I'll use that to hide the rollcage and engine. Hoping it will look like a lightly modified, clean road car that shouldn't arouse suspicion. Will probably add a LHD dashboard (the NSX has one as an option). Still want to to do the Viper-engined '70 Challenger I had in mind for last year's CBR, but keeping it clean without a cage so I decided against declaring it as my RWYB entry this year. 6

It would helpif I made a decent start on it this time, unlike last year's attempt. My 2021 entry was a rush on the last day or two. 1
W-409 Posted December 29, 2022 Posted December 29, 2022 I'll need to dig out my '69 Torino that I tried to build for one of these Cannonballs maybe 5 or so years ago. I remember I failed because of paint issues, but can't remember for sure how far I made it. If it's less than 50% done I think I'll take advantage of the Exception to Rule 1. But I need to dig it out and see how it looks first because honestly I can't remember how far I made it, plus that some things I built back then probably need to be redone anyway. 1
426 pack Posted December 30, 2022 Posted December 30, 2022 I’ve decided to start with the 56 Chevy, I don’t have much of a plan for it other that I want a big block Chevy.
