Beautiful looking Bel Air. Like the color combination and the clean chrome trim. I saw the picture of your gold/beige '56 Bel Air Hardtop and it look great as well.

Well John, ya done great?   I kinda feel like I know '57's pretty well (Dad owned 3, one of which became my very own) and the detail work accuracy looks right on.  Great job??

Beautiful '57 John , love those colors !  I've been playing with my "new" camera for more than a year now and am still figuring it out , never had anything but point and shoots so it's all Greek to me .

Thanks, everyone, for your very nice comments!

Harry, I am using a Kodak PixPro AZ252. Sounds professional but its a camera that my wife bought not long ago at Kohl's, where she used to work. It was on clearance and with all her coupons and discount, she probably paid next to nothing for it.  But it is bulky and hard to hold and push the button sat the same time, so I think I get some shaking in my hands. As you can see in the last photo of the engine, the picture is a bit blurry on close-ups with zoom. I might need a little stand for it. In the camera's defense, I also haven't downloaded the instruction manual from the internet yet so I guess I better do that. But I am not a computer, cell phone or camera guy, so its always a chore to accomplish these tasks.  I'm a point and shoot guy. I'd rather line up and mount a three piece bumper on the front of a 57, although that would take about three people to do it. Thanks for looking!

Helpful Camera Tips:

Mount the camera on a tripod, place it on a solid surface or even a bag of rice.

If you want to eliminate all camera shake (and get a little fancy) you could use the Self Timer function. After pressing the shutter button, the countdown timer will allow vibrations to settle down before the exposure is taken resulting in sharper photos.

Set the camera to Manual mode and play around with Shutter Speed and Aperture. Use the LCD screen to determine the best exposure. In certain situations, the camera’s light meter can be fooled when set to Automatic or Program modes resulting in over or under exposed photos.

Really good paint choice and execution! Chrome trim done very neat. A classic built so often but always nice to look at. If I had to choose one classic from the 50´s, it would be a tri-5 Bel Air.

Thanks again, everyone for the very nice comments!  Harry, thanks for the helpful hints. I will try them. I also did download the instructions for the camera and they are 40 pages long. Lots to study. Yes, Jeff the foil is regular chrome Bare Metal Foil with aluminum BMF on the rear fender insert. ?
