Wolfangel Posted January 14, 2023 Posted January 14, 2023 I finally finished my 57 Chevy gasser (look in the WIP for progress pictures). There was a lot done to this kit......scratch built front suspension with poseable steering, front gas tank mount, scratch built battery tray, radiused rear wheel openings, the rear suspension is a combination of NASCAR Craftsman truck and '41 Willys ladder bars, aluminum driaveshaft, computer made decals and a host of little things from other kits. I really enjoyed this build. This is my first gasser model I have ever built. I might build more. 15
TransAmMike Posted January 14, 2023 Posted January 14, 2023 Very sharp looking '57 Marcus...great job?

Zippi Posted January 14, 2023 Posted January 14, 2023 Top notch looking Drag car. Love the old Gassers. Great Job.
M W Elky Posted January 14, 2023 Posted January 14, 2023 I really like the yellow jacket theme you did a great job
TarheelRick Posted January 14, 2023 Posted January 14, 2023 Beautiful Gasser, one of my favorite classes of drag cars. Your scratchbuilt parts are very convincing and add to the overall look of the car. And the front end is not in the nose-bleed area. Very well done.
Altered Ego Posted January 14, 2023 Posted January 14, 2023 I can't believe this is your first gasser. You nailed the stance. Please do build more gassers and keep sharing them!
happy grumpy Posted January 16, 2023 Posted January 16, 2023 Awesome chevy. I like the color and livery, stunning work .
NitroMarty Posted February 17, 2024 Posted February 17, 2024 Fan-FREAKIN-tastic!!! ?????? This is without a doubt the coolest build of that old MPC flip-nose kit that I ever recall seeing!
Lobo2me Posted February 17, 2024 Posted February 17, 2024 You should build many more based on a review of your first Gasser effort. Very nicely done in all respects!
Mopar2 Posted February 19, 2024 Posted February 19, 2024 Sweet old gasser...Like them old drag cars...
iBorg Posted February 19, 2024 Posted February 19, 2024 This has the look of the local racer of the 60's and early 70's. Great ob. I'm curious as to what printer you used to print the decals.
Rattlecan Dan Posted February 20, 2024 Posted February 20, 2024 Great-looking Gasser Marcus. Nice work.
Joe McDonald Posted February 21, 2024 Posted February 21, 2024 Nailed it! VERY cool build, well done!
bogger44 Posted February 23, 2024 Posted February 23, 2024 Oh man do I like this build! Stance is excellent and looks like she's ready to rip down the track. Gassers are so cool, and yes, please build more in the future.
alan barton Posted February 29, 2024 Posted February 29, 2024 What a neat and very believable gasser! I love the idea of gluing small strips of plastic on the edge of the flip front to help guide it into position. I have an unpainted built-up in my collection that I plan to build with a Badman theme. I'm definitely using your idea on that one! Cheers Alan
larman Posted March 6, 2024 Posted March 6, 2024 Excellent model! Great color, stance and graphics! You really got the gasser look down!
