Ace-Garageguy Posted January 26, 2023 Posted January 26, 2023 Nice job on a kit that's not at all easy.
TarheelRick Posted January 26, 2023 Posted January 26, 2023 Except for the oversize Dagmar's, every time I look at this car, I see a '58 Chevy. I have one that I have been trying to decide whether I want to attempt to build it or to scavenge for parts. I have a custom on the table now that would look really good with those wheels and tires, and those rear fins and headlights just scream to be transplanted onto something else: a '51 or '55 Chevy custom maybe. I already have plans for the stately dressed couple in this kit.

A company called X-EL re-popped them back in the 80s, so they’re probably not as hard to find as some of the other Johan kits, but yeah, still not easy.....or cheap. Steve
Dave G. Posted January 26, 2023 Posted January 26, 2023 Came out better than I expected from Atlantis, nice work !!

peteski Posted January 26, 2023 Posted January 26, 2023 She is a character from Star Trek TOS episode. Funny, I just watched that episode recently on MeTV.

That might explain why I didn’t know who she was. Haven’t seen an episode of Star Trek since I was about 12. Steve

stavanzer Posted February 7, 2023 Posted February 7, 2023 Back on track. Atlantis is bringing back the Revell Parts Pack 283 Small Block. Chromed, no less. Be nice to have this one back. 3
espo Posted February 10, 2023 Posted February 10, 2023 Maybe they'll bring back some of the other old AMT engine kits. The 283 used to be offered with a 421 Pontiac engine.
stavanzer Posted February 14, 2023 Posted February 14, 2023 I don't think Atlantis has any AMT Tooling and the Pontiac 421 Was out in an AMT Box about 15 years ago.

Mark Posted February 15, 2023 Posted February 15, 2023 Now they need to stick some of the suspension parts pack trees into the vacuum plating device alongside those engine packs.

And still better, by far, than most of what's been tooled this century (though they're not without some glaring errors too). Edited February 15, 2023 by Ace-Garageguy
