cobraman Posted February 2, 2023 Posted February 2, 2023 Well , this didn’t go as planned . I had a can of Spray Max 2 part clear in a spray can . I planned to use it in this and another model . If you don’t know this spray requires you to remove a button at the top and then push it into a nozzle at the bottom to mix the 2 parts in the can . When I did that it started leaking pretty bad at the bottom nozzle . I got it outside quick but of course the can was ruined . So , this was cleared with Duplicolor . Painted Tamiya Silver Leaf . Stripped some chrome and added the tire decals . The hood pins will be added if I ever find them ! I don’t do well with tiny parts anymore . So here it is such as it is . Not my best but I will put in the back of my display cabinet , way back . Thanks for looking . 3
happy grumpy Posted February 2, 2023 Posted February 2, 2023 Still a beautiful model from the cobraman. Turned out pretty good. I really have to build one of these. Can you suggest a good kit I could use as my first cobra built?
espo Posted February 2, 2023 Posted February 2, 2023 Great looking Cobra despite your paint issues. The black trim and wheels give it a more contemporary look. I would put it at the front of my display case.
cobraman Posted February 2, 2023 Author Posted February 2, 2023 Thank you all very much. Mario, I would recommend either a Monogram or a Revell labeled kit. If you want the original Cobra then the AMT is your best bet IMO. Please build one !
Jim B Posted February 2, 2023 Posted February 2, 2023 Great looking Cobra from the Cobra Expert. Very well done.
vamach1 Posted February 2, 2023 Posted February 2, 2023 Great combination of the silver, black trim and red interior.
Dragonhawk1066 Posted February 2, 2023 Posted February 2, 2023 Still a good looking Cobra! The black parts stand out nicely with the Silver body.
cobraman Posted February 3, 2023 Author Posted February 3, 2023 Thanks guys ! Still looking hood locks !
70 Sting Posted February 3, 2023 Posted February 3, 2023 I like the colour scheme you went with. Don’t know about in-person but it looks nice in the photos.
Kit Basher Posted February 3, 2023 Posted February 3, 2023 That looks wicked! Love the silver and black. Don't need no stinkin' hood locks, just drive so fast the hood stays down!
bogger44 Posted February 3, 2023 Posted February 3, 2023 Silver and black really work well on this. May not be your best work but it still looks good!
Koellefornia Kid Posted February 4, 2023 Posted February 4, 2023 Love the silver/black combo! Looks great!
