All four of those new tools are going to be huge sellers, even though they are curbside.

Wonder if the underpinnings of the polar Lights '64 GOaT can be used to update the upcoming '65.

Wow, so much awesome stuff. Want everything, especially the Bronco, Black Beauty, and 65 Chevy AWB. I liked the part where Jamie said "...plenty of opportunities to explore in the future with different makes and models on a shortened wheelbase racing format".

It's only a matter of time before they whip up an altered wheelbase body for their 64 Olds to bring back the Streaker. Seems like pretty much all the other parts are already in the convertible and/or 442 kits.

The pickups and the GTO are a must have for myself. I'm wondering about the reason behind the lack of engines. I realize a lot of builders may be doing an engine swap anyway, but most would just modify the kits engine.

If Round 2 wanted to make some extra money, they could throw the grill w/headlights lens in one of their parts pack, I bet retailers would not be able to keep them in stock......

Looks like they are going back to their old ways with an engine plate.  Not a bad thing at all. 3D printed  stuff is out there after all.  Spend the engineering and tool money on making it look right and go together smoothly.

Plus there are scads of material from previous kits to bash, 'cept for the Bronco (and have you SEEN the rat's nest under one of those hoods?) Kinda diggin' the notion that the SS454 I dig back out of the stash might get clear headlight lenses now.

'Druthers, I like engines, but these will be just fine. And as for those Goats, don't forget how the Chevy II wagon retool started...

The Bronco underside detail looks really good,  doesnt even look like curbside kit,  very similar to the Fujimi FJ Crusier and Jimny kits that had basically full underside detail while being a curbside kit.

Yeah, there is nothing to see under the hood of the new Bronco, so I’m fine with it being a curbside.

Maybe.  I’d just use the chassis and engine from the usual ‘65 GTO that’s been reissued over and over if I want an engine.

Right!, topside is just mess of wiring and tubes, not gonna lose sleep over it being a curbside either.

No mention of the 66 Mustang fastback?

I noticed that.  Probably didn’t mention it because it was already covered in one of these videos previously.

I agree.  Would love for this one to come out.  My gut feeling is the Streaker AWB Olds will be after the Time Machine AWB Chevelle.  My opinion is not based on any fact or prior knowledge.  It's just a logical next step for Round 2 with these AWB kits.  Wanted to add that there is only a couple parts in the current Olds Cutlass kit that will go with the Steaker kit.

While I've never seen an actual Streaker Olds, pretty sure I've identified all or most of the Streaker-specific parts in the two HPI Guy 64 Olds reviews. IIRC, each version has some, though not all, of them. Gimme some time, I'll rewatch them and screencap the parts in question.

I myself cannot wait for the Black Beauty. It does like as though the hood will be molded closed though. Guess not a big deal with all the other Green Hornet items added.

Honestly there is nothing to look at under the hood of anything made in the last 20 years anyway.   Even the high horse engines are all covered with plastic, hoses and coil packs.

I've seen pics of a Streaker kit on EBay. It has a tube chassis much like the one in the Time Machine or Rat Packer Nova. The Trunk Spoiler is in the Hardtop kit, and the Streaker grille is in both kits. If they do a Streaker, I hope it has tinted glass. I need a tinted windshield for a build.

AMT 69 442 works with some trimming on the front, Revell 68 Chevelle may also

Doesn't that body still exist? Isn't that why they tooled up the new stock body?

Dave...my understanding is "yes" and "yes"....and that the '65 Chevelle AWB chassis was shared with the Streaker and one other kit in the original AMT funny car kit series.

As for the inspiration behind the name "Streaker" in that kit....there's a story there.  I hint at it in my book but (so far) have not divulged the actual character (person) who was allegedly involved ....hah!   TB
