Frozenone Posted March 26, 2023 Posted March 26, 2023 Bonnie & Clyde 34' Ford Death car. Diorama shows the ambush. Car is lighted to show the bodies and the guns in the back seat. It also has a sound card that plays the gunfire sounds and the song "The Story of Bonnie & Clyde" by Merle Haggard. Shooter's guns have clear plastic stretched sprue, tinted with extra small clipped nail heads to represent the bullets. Bullet holes are historically accurate as is the Arkansas license plate, since the car was stolen from a person's home in Arkansas shortly before the ambush. 2
TarheelRick Posted March 26, 2023 Posted March 26, 2023 Excellent work and attention to detail. Very well constructed.
TonyK Posted March 26, 2023 Posted March 26, 2023 Gruesome! That took a lot of work and you did it well. Lots of detail.
David G. Posted March 26, 2023 Posted March 26, 2023 I'd say you captured it all quite well! Nicely Done! David G.
NYLIBUD Posted June 24, 2023 Posted June 24, 2023 (edited) Great job.I read somewhere, and it’s obvious, that Bonnie and Clyde were completely taken by surprise from the ambush, well duh,I guess that’s the whole point of an ambush.? Edited June 24, 2023 by NYLIBUD
NYLIBUD Posted September 25, 2023 Posted September 25, 2023 Yea they sure did get blasted.I think they said it was like around 150 shots fired at the car.
Chuck Most Posted March 14, 2024 Posted March 14, 2024 (edited) Somebody beat me to killer diorama, so I will simply say it looks like you had a blast constructing this infamous bit of history. I don't know what triggered your inspiration to build it, but I'm glad you did it. I'm really digging the stretched sprue used to create the muzzle flash. That's creativity of the highest caliber.
