Here's my take on the Revell Chevy Corvette C7.R. The paint is a custom mix using Folkart Blue Topaz with a little Delta Ceramcoat Navy Metallic added in, while the lower portion was taped off and sprayed with Anita's Glossy Black. I cleared it with Createx UVLS 4050 Gloss Clear and wet-sanded with 8000 and 12,000 grit, polished with Novus #2, and finished it off with Meguiar's Cleaner Wax. I used the kit decals for the stripes, but didn't want to use the race livery decals as I was going for more of a 'Street Racer" look. This is more of a simplified kit with only 64 parts, so details like any kind of a suspension or drivetrain, save for the engine, are not there. Nevertheless, it fits together pretty well, was a really fun build, and will look pretty good on my shelf. Thanks for looking!

I've built this same kit and it's certainly possible - as you have done - to get a great looking result out of what is a simple kit. Very nice. Great colour.

There is simply too much to say about this model, but I will try.

Outstanding model, outstanding results, outstanding photography and outstanding diorama.

Your use of depth of field in your photography is brilliant.

Absolutely love what you have posted and presented here.

That came out really nice Craig! I have similarly themed build, buried in storage somewhere at the moment, in a different color. ?

Very nice. That's a great color.

Thanks guys, much appreciated! I seriously considered taking some pics without that big wing, it sets right into the mounting holes and isn't glued on.

Ken, Thanks a bunch for all the compliments! About the photography, I wish I had some secrets of the trade but I just adjust the zoom on my phone's camera and the distance from me to the subject until the whole subject looks clear and snap the pics, lol.

Your efforts on the paint work and the color really show. Like the Street Racer look. The detailing on what does show of the engine looks great as does the interior.

Hey, this looks better as a street racer than in the original livery... sharp build, and nice colour, suits it.

Thanks everyone!!
