Here's the AMT 53 Corvette.  One of my all time favorite kits.  70 years of Corvette!

Beautiful. How did you do the headlight grills?

 

Thank you!  To make the headlight grilles, I used the mesh from a strainer from the dollar store.  Super glued the cross hatch first, then cut it out and shaped it over the back of a spoon.  Not perfect scale but it will do for now.  Built this over a year ago.  When I build the 55 Corvette I will look for a finer mesh and bigger headlights.

Nice original Vette. Creative stuff on the headlight mesh. Big improvement over the molded clear plastic ones that come with the kit.
