What an excellent build this is David G., . . . Reading your summary of the completed build, I was surprised to see so many decals supplied by Revell, and particularly those areas that you would have expected to paint yourself. Beautiful colour for this car, and I can see that you have done your research meticulously at every stage . . . You have done your best with the warped hood, and you didn't resort to glueing the hood in place to make a curbside.

Well done !

David W.

Thank you for your kind comment David. In addition to the stock version decals, Revell also provided decals for a racing version that included racing stripes, numbers and sponsor call-outs.

Most kind of them.

Thank you again for your kind words, It's nice having one's efforts recognized in such a way.

Very nice!!! Great build. I have a friend who has two. Two lime green cars with 440’s he bought them when no one wanted them . Actually the dealers had a tough time selling them, but a few years later , they were selling for a little more than a new pinto. So he bought 2. At the time they were very big cars compared to what was selling at the time. Now he has a gold mine. I even worked on his.  The front nose is steel, which surprised the heck out of me. Cool build sir. Great job.

You’re spot on with that comment. I remember seeing these drive past me new when I was 11 years old. Story was they sat on dealers lots and they couldn’t give them away. People thought they were ugly but to an 11 year old I thought they were the coolest thing I ever saw.
Kudos to your friend.

Hi David, beautiful job on the Roadrunner. It is indeed an iconic car, and you certainly did it justice. Very nice clean build as usual sir. You obviously have a steady hand, the Plymouth script looks perfect, nicely done. Too bad about the warped hood, sometimes the styrene just doesn’t want to change shape. The good news is, if you hadn’t pointed it out, I wouldn’t have noticed it.

Cheers, Steve

Your Plymouth Superbird can take pride of place next to the Gulf Ford GT40, and it looks superb !

Well done completing this build as well as the Rolls-Royce around the same time . . .

Man that turned out VERY well Dave! Sorry to hear about the hood and all and the same thing happened to me on my Revell Charger build. .....hood just wouldn't level out no matter what I did. You managed to pull off one heckuva good looking build despite that fact though. Excellent paint and detail work bud.

Thanks Joe, I'm glad you like it. I'm pretty pleased with the way it turned out too... except for that dang hood.

Ah well, if that's the worst problem I have to deal with in the coming year, it'll be a good year.

Thanks again for your kind comment Joe and I hope you have a great 2024.
