Now that this one has finally been reissued, seemed like a perfect time to tear into an original 1990 kit.

I did use some decals from the reissue, along with a supercharged DOHC Mod V8 from Jay's Resin Wheels 1948 on eBay, and grafted in a radiator and core support from a 1990 Mustang, along with a parts box electric fan. It also has an Iceman Collections air filter.

I wanted something subdued for the paint so I went with Testors Bronze. Needs a little foil touchup around the taillights and on the bumpers but overall I'm happy with how this "slam it together and get it over with" project turned out.

Very cool. Can these be built stock?

Absolutely not. ? It's basically the Matt Hay Pro street Thunderbird with a shortened Lincoln body.

Nice looking Lincoln Chuck. I have one of these in the stash, still haven’t decided exactly what to do with it, but got a few ideas here. Thanks for sharing sir.

Lov it, looks fantastic and the engine looks right at home. Too bad it;s gonna get dirtly if you're driving in the rain..

Seriously, always a favorite of mine. Almost bought a real one once. Have a number of the original kits as well as a stock resin body, have yet to build one. Now maybe I should.

I had a 1:1 1989 Mk VII, but the paint was Shadow Blue, and the motor was nothing like the gorgeous supercharged DOHC Mod V8 you stuffed in there. However, the stance was similar after the airbag suspension failed... a couple of times! Nice job!
