blubaja Posted April 28, 2024 Posted April 28, 2024 I didn't get a ton of pics, but feel free to post it up in here. Thanks Ed Sexton and thank you Steve G for showing today! 10
stavanzer Posted April 28, 2024 Posted April 28, 2024 I see the "Widesides" Ford Pickup , Snap Kit is a definite release now. I wonder if it will be marketed as a glue kit? And, if it will retain it's hard plastic tires. Either way, Revell joins Round2 in bringing us old Pickup kits. I see nothing about the "Stranger Things" kits.

I have pictures of everything (well not the Blazer, or any S.T. kits as there were no samples of those) but I took them on my full frame camera this year and I just walked in the door from the drive home from NJ. More to come in the AM... Edited April 28, 2024 by niteowl7710 2

blubaja Posted April 28, 2024 Author Posted April 28, 2024 Ed did say they are reworking the camro kit for ST.

I would hope that they improved it since it first came out 40 years ago but hard to say. Was hoping the Blazer kit would have been here sooner but would rather wait for it to be right than rushed. 1
Len Woodruff Posted April 28, 2024 Posted April 28, 2024 Looks like there will be 2 C8 Corvettes. Hardtop & Convertible. I am ready for these. Bring them! 1
GMP440 Posted April 28, 2024 Posted April 28, 2024 Can someone going to the NNL East today take a wide shot of the Round 2 display table. Also, maybe one of the Round 2 people may know if the AMT 67 Galaxie is in the works for a future release.
Mark Posted April 28, 2024 Posted April 28, 2024 The Round 2 pictures don't include the MPC '72 Chevelle, which is to be reissued with the most recent configuration of parts (MPC red "street machine", could be built stock except for wheels). Box art will reportedly be that of the "Sslasher" issue prior to that one, which can be built as illustrated on that box with the parts included. NO RELEASE DATE or other info at this time. It's still in the works. 1
vamach1 Posted April 28, 2024 Posted April 28, 2024 Thanks for posting the pictures. If I was there I would have asked about the Eleanor Mustang based on the Boss 351/Mach1 kit.

Mr mopar Posted April 28, 2024 Posted April 28, 2024 I heard that there is Photo's of the new Revell Blazer floating around ,but I have not seen them yet . Wes at Wes's model car corner said it look real good for detail ?
David Miller Posted April 28, 2024 Posted April 28, 2024 I had to laugh ... there was two vendor rooms , I entered the one on the left and was met with the Revell display ... and there was a box of the ‘32 Sedan , and listened to the Revell guy say “ I don’t know when it’ll hit the shelves “ ... proceed to walk into second room and first vendor I see the ‘32 sedan , and he had lots of them . I gladly paid the 30$ , and we had a big laugh when I told him what the Revell guy just said !

So no, he doesn't specifically know when kits ship. Those "new" Revell kits ('32 Ford. 57 Del Rio, and '77 Chevy P/U) landed in stores over the past 72 hours. The two biggest distributors are in NJ and CT, so those vendors we're lucky via proximity to get their kits in Friday before they left for the show. My LHS, which does a lot of show vending, didn't get them in until Saturday Afternoon. So they didn't have them to sell at the show they found themselves at (not NNL East) since they were at the show when the shipment hit the store. Edited April 28, 2024 by niteowl7710

Whatever information here is all we get for now until either company decides to share more with us.

A "Styleside", a Flareside, and whatever the crack-smoked heck the "6-Wheeler" was supposed to be. They're all the same cab and suspension/chassis, just the beds and wheels are different. None of them have been seen again since 1981 that I'm aware of, and I'm not sure why they'd pick the "fauxully" to reissue - aside from it's perceived uniqueness. Carmak Posted April 29, 2024 Posted April 29, 2024 Round@ was showing the MPC 72 Chevelle at NNL East. This is completely different tooling than the AMT/ERTL 72 Chevelle. This is the tooling used for the 72 Chevelle promos. This body was modified into a stock car in the early 70's and restored to mostly stock in the 80's (SSlasher kit molded in black and another version molded in red). This kit correctly has a portion of the fender extension between the headlight bezel and the hood. 4

Hard_2_Handle_454 Posted April 29, 2024 Posted April 29, 2024 (edited) What?! I may finally be able to build a model of my old car that doesn't look garbage! ? Edited April 29, 2024 by Hard_2_Handle_454 Really, you can't say BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH? 1
