PRO-Tour-O-NADO: A modernized 1970 Johan Toronado with the drivetrain of a Z06 'Vette

Hi!

I was blessed to find a complete Johan 70 Toronado kit, and couldn't wait to turn it into a two-seater contemporary touring car. So...

Scratchbuild a plaform and interior, with the front & rear mechanical components of a Z06 Vette, with the rolling stock from Snap Fast Concorde slammer, and seats from Revell's Escalade. Inverted hood, roll-bar, multiple speakers, and a console with shifter and hand brake straddling a floating tube linking the engine and rear transaxle. Custom cherry candy with Mr.Hobby Premium top coat clear. Multiple ancilary components (brakes, headers, etc) scratchbuilt for the occasion.

The rear wheel openings are fully open on the 70 Toro, so why not take advantage of it for large dismeter hoops?

Beautiful looking paint color and finish. The chassis conversion looks like an OEM level design that should have been originally.  The custom interior looks great and well detailed. The wheels really work well on this.
