Phildaupho Posted September 20, 2024 Posted September 20, 2024 (edited) There are at least four really nice full-fendered, unchopped ’32 Ford Sedans that I often see at local car shows but there is one in particular that I like so much it inspired me to build this model. I built this model pretty much straight from the recently re-released kit adding a few parts from elsewhere and making some changes. It is not exactly like the real car but closely resembles it in many ways. There is a great 2-page article with lots of photos on Canadian Hot Rods website about this car which the owner calls Tiki Dream. You can view the article at https://www.canadianhotrods.com/features.php?&action=hotPage&ID=129 I have read that the owner has said that if he was to do it over, he would have chopped the top but I like it just the way it is. Modelbuilder Mark Posted September 20, 2024 Posted September 20, 2024 Good looking model! Some very nice choices made in the build.
Bullybeef Posted September 20, 2024 Posted September 20, 2024 That is a beautiful rendition of the 1:1 car Phil!
Nitro330 Posted September 21, 2024 Posted September 21, 2024 Beautiful build Phil! The Tamiya light metallic blue is one of my favorite colors. A great representation of the real car. Super clean street rod.
Can-Con Posted September 21, 2024 Posted September 21, 2024 Beautiful, traditional car, Phil. Very clean!
XYHARRY Posted September 21, 2024 Posted September 21, 2024 That is one gorgeous Deuce sedan. I really like the colour you chose and the chrome steelies with white walls look great. Best of all is the stance, perfect. Really well done Phil, a good likeness of the 1:1 inspiration.
TooOld Posted September 21, 2024 Posted September 21, 2024 Beautifully done Phil ! Love the look of those wheels and tires with the blue metallic paint !
Zippi Posted September 21, 2024 Posted September 21, 2024 Pretty kewl looking 32 Ford Tudor Sedan Phil. I'm diggin the blue.
ncbuckeye67 Posted September 21, 2024 Posted September 21, 2024 Excellent replica of a beautiful hot rod! I love the color combination. It's also nice to see an un-chopped top (I'm not a big fan).

When I saw another model on the forum painted with Tamiya Light Metallic Blue I knew it would be the perfect paint for this Tudor. The real car and another very similarly styled local 5-Window are both painted with Toyota Speedway Blue which is a little lighter in shade than the Tamiya paint but very close. I have used Ala Kart wheels and tires on a couple of other Deuce models although with white wall slicks at the rear. I also like chopped Sedans and have built a couple of those - one a hi-boy the other full fendered.
espo Posted September 21, 2024 Posted September 21, 2024 Beautiful looking paint finish and color and the interior colors work well with the body color. Clean looking engine details. Like the stance.

Dennis Lacy Posted September 23, 2024 Posted September 23, 2024 I’ve seen pictures of the 1:1 Tudor and this is a great tribute to it. I especially like and appreciate the rework on the seats and side panels. Nice job! 1
