Finally finished it up. Pretty happy with it.

This is what I started with ,,,

,,And here's the finished product.

Paint is Duplicolor Metalcast transparent purple over metallic silver with Duplicolor clearcoat.

My can of purple was more fuchsia then purple, which was what I wanted for this car fortunately.

Really nice custom Thunderbird there Steve, that colour is gorgeous. I like the two options on this too. The blue tint on the windscreen is a cool detail, really well done.

Cheers,

David. ??

Really like thisun; reminds me of an original 1969 hot wheels car but it looks like a real car

Thanks Nathan. That's the vibe I was going for with the Cragars and red lines.?

Brilliant, I’ve been waiting for this one to go on the shelf, you nailed it Steve! If Ford would have seen this in 67 they would have offered this to the public by 69 and sold a million in 70, 71! Your build has everything including the right colour and options ( Sport Roadster really!) bravo and thanks I really enjoyed this one ?

The paint color and finish really catch my eye. I like how you cleaned up the front end and makes the car seem sleeker than stock. The cover for the back seat blends well with the body lines.

Thanks everyone.

Yea, I had originally planned to use a set of KH "Strippers" on this[the wheels that look like wires] but after I finished the paint and seen how much it would look like a redline Hot Wheels I changed to Cragars and red lines.

The roadster tonneau was also a last minute decision. I wasn't originally planning to do that but after playing with it and seeing how the lines seemed to naturally blend together, how could I NOT do it.

Hi Steve!

Very nice! Two questions, if I may: Did Ford offer the TBird of this generation as a convertible?  I don't recall... And are the grille and tailights some kind of "customizing option parts" that came with the kit? They look great!
