Silvercreeker Posted September 30, 2024 Posted September 30, 2024 Avocado Hauler is done. This is a 1953 AMT Ford F-100. Color is MCW 1968 Dodge Avocado and Black. The wheels and tires are from VCG Resins and are the “Speedway Series”. Hubcaps are Spun Aluminum from Parts by Parks. Didn’t really want to cover those awesome rims, but Moon Hub caps are so cool too... The Engine is the Flathead from the kit, with Iceman Collections Carb, Distributor and coil and Detail Masters fuel line and linkage. Protech sparkplug boots, wires and looms. The bed had to be tubbed to fit the wider tires, and the frame was lowered all the way to the bump stops. The bumpers are 1937 Desoto bumpers. The blanket seat cover is from STS decals and shifter and chain steering wheel are from VCG Resins. The door handles are from Iceman Collections. Seat belts and bed wood are from Gofer. All chrome was stripped and replaced with Revell Chrome, and trim is Bare Metal foil. Fuzzy Dice are from Ken’s. Chain tailgate straps are scratch built with heat shrink as protection. License Plates and dash are from Best Model Car Parts. Enjoy. 15
DJMar Posted September 30, 2024 Posted September 30, 2024 Wow, she's a beauty! I'm not a big fan of green, but this color combination is fantastic and works really well on this truck. I love the DeSoto bumpers, they look great. Also, registration & inspection stickers! Love it. 1
espo Posted September 30, 2024 Posted September 30, 2024 Beautiful looking paint finish and body trim. Like the horse blanket interior. The Moon hub caps bring back some fond memories from when that was very popular. The stock appearing engine detail looks great. 1
Zippi Posted September 30, 2024 Posted September 30, 2024 Really nice Scott. I dig the green and the stance looks Super nice. I'm liking this one. 1
Ace-Garageguy Posted September 30, 2024 Posted September 30, 2024 Very very nice, and a great reminder of what a truly outstanding kit this old dinosaur STILL is. 1
Ulf Posted October 1, 2024 Posted October 1, 2024 Incredibly stylish and tasteful, you have also integrated Parts by Park's aluminum discs perfectly in(not on) the build. 1
STU111 Posted October 1, 2024 Posted October 1, 2024 That is one sweet looking truck. Every element of the build is excellent. The seat in particular has a fabric look to it despite being a decal. Well done. ?? 1
Dennis Lacy Posted October 2, 2024 Posted October 2, 2024 Killer F100, beautifully finished and detailed! Love the color scheme and the stance is right-on. ? 1
XYHARRY Posted October 7, 2024 Posted October 7, 2024 Great attention to detail on this gorgeous 53 pickup, very well done there Scott. Cheers, David. ?? 1
