Hopefully that's not a bad sign. Sorry, just got sidetracked on a couple of other projects. This morning I got back at it. Fabbed up some rear shocks and re-configured the front ones. I was not happy with the attitude of the fronts.😬 6
tim boyd Posted February 8 Posted February 8 (edited) Greg....just caught this build thread. Great work. Particularly interesting to me as I did a somewhat similar project about fivish years or so ago. Mine had very similar stance, thanks in part to the same front suspension approach you took; but I did not chop the top as you did, and the engine was a Flathead Ford with the R&M of Md Thurston cylinder head covers and air cleaner. The project fought me every step of the way. I encountered many of the same issues you've covered here; really fascinating to see how you've worked through them. Love the Fisher conversion, and the injection plumbing is killer, too. While I was (and am) pleased with mine, yours looks like it is going to reach a whole different level of achievement. Big congrats on what you've done so far and will be following with close interest from this point forward. Cheers, and good luck bringing this one home! Cheers...TIM Edited February 8 by tim boyd 2
David G. Posted February 9 Posted February 9 Great work on the shocks Greg. Coilovers just seem right for this one. David G.

NOBLNG Posted February 11 Author Posted February 11 Got the engine finished, fabbed up some taillights from red sprue and made a spot for a license plate. 10
BK9300 Posted February 11 Posted February 11 Awesome work on the whole build and especially the engine - looks very cool. 1
slusher Posted February 11 Posted February 11 I really like your engine, wheeleel and tires look terrific… 1
David G. Posted February 11 Posted February 11 The engine looks great In situ with the mockup. Wicked! I especially like the cut you made for the plate. Sometimes it's the little things that can make a big difference. Overall... very cool! David G. 1
dino246gt Posted February 11 Posted February 11 Wow, that engine looks fantastic, love those fuel lines and trumpets, and well everything about it, so cool! 1
STU111 Posted February 11 Posted February 11 Haven’t checked in on this one in a while, but wow! This is really coming together nicely . Those coil over shocks look great. The stance looks spot on. 👍🏻 1

NOBLNG Posted February 14 Author Posted February 14 (edited) Exhaust is now finished and made some links for the rear axle. I also got a fuel tank made and added an inset filler cap. Edited February 14 by NOBLNG 6
customline Posted February 15 Posted February 15 That's some nice clean work, Boss. I'm diggin' it. 1
David G. Posted February 15 Posted February 15 A super clean build Greg. "Sano" as we used to say back in the Eighties! David G. 1
NOBLNG Posted February 26 Author Posted February 26 (edited) I managed to get the body painted and cleared. Although the red rims look OK….I thought since I have a whole bunch of artillery rims cast, that I would mock up a couple of alternatives. Thanks for lookin’ …opinions welcome.😎 Edited February 27 by NOBLNG 5
LennyB Posted February 26 Posted February 26 I kinda like the last one but was wondering how a two tone rim would look. Light green on the inside and dark on the outside. 1

NOBLNG Posted February 27 Author Posted February 27 (edited) I think you might have nailed it Lenny… Edited February 27 by NOBLNG 7
STU111 Posted February 27 Posted February 27 Lens two tone rim idea does look the goods, but any of the above choices are gonna look great on this one. Looks awesome at this stage, looking forward to seeing the final product. 👍🏻 1
Bullybeef Posted February 27 Posted February 27 Gosh dang it (stronger words were used) that looks absolutely awesome Greg! The two tone wheels really sell the accent stripes on the body. 1
NOBLNG Posted March 17 Author Posted March 17 (edited) I was away on vacation for a couple of weeks so not a lot of progress on this one. I did manage to get the wheels and brake drums reconfigured. I cast all of these parts and had to cut up a set of wheels to get some inner rims. After that, the rears were as simple as adding a spacer and drilling to suit the axle tubes. The fronts, I had to mill out the drums that I had cast to fit over the kit backing plates.🥵 I got the dash finished and added a roll bar since the seats have these racing harnesses and I think they needed to be tied in somewhere. Currently waiting for the window glue to dry before I can install the dash and attach the body to the chassis. Thanks for lookin’!🙂 Edited March 17 by NOBLNG 4
