NOBLNG Posted January 10 Posted January 10 (edited) This is the old Monogram kit. It is actually a very nice kit.😎 I opened up the side windows to the hardtop version, lowered the front a tad, added the vinyl roof and a few underhood details. Paint is Tamiya TS-11 Maroon with Mr. Hobby clear. Thanks for lookin’. Build thread: https://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/139261-64-pontiac-gto/#comments Edited January 11 by NOBLNG 19

rrb124@sbcglobal.net Posted January 11 Posted January 11 Checking out the engine and bay. This GOAT looks ready to pounce. 1
jjsipes Posted January 11 Posted January 11 Looks great. I built the Monogram years ago and just completed the Polar Lights version. They are both great kits. 1
AMT68 Posted January 11 Posted January 11 Super nice build with perfect detailing. And in an eye catching color combination. And thanks for the tip on creating a radiator cap as it's very realistic looking. 1
johnyrotten Posted January 11 Posted January 11 Beautiful build. Stance, color combo everything. The interior really sets it off. Very well done, sir. 1
mustang1989 Posted January 11 Posted January 11 This build AND the photography of it are "all that". That paint finish and details bring this puppy to life. Beautiful car Greg. 2
Geno Posted January 11 Posted January 11 Holy smokes Greg, you rocked it on this one. Absolutely fantastic. 💯👍😎 1
NOBLNG Posted January 11 Author Posted January 11 Thanks for all the compliments Fellas!🙂 They are beautiful cars and now I think I did it justice.
rrb124@sbcglobal.net Posted January 11 Posted January 11 I was 13 in 1964 and an older guy in the neighborhood had a white 64 GTO with a 4 speed and Tripower. I'll never forget my first ride and the fury under the hood when the carbs opened up and being pushed back in the seat! 2
dino246gt Posted January 11 Posted January 11 Beautiful build and the perfect colors and stance! Brings back memories as I was 15 in '64 and so remember drooling over these cars! 1
Droptop 66 Posted January 11 Posted January 11 Really nice work. I think I've had this kit since it came out so many years ago and for whatever reason, I never got around to building it. I may have the inspiration needed now. Again, great job. Happy new year. 1
carrucha Posted January 11 Posted January 11 Cool build. Nice job detailing the engine. Good job on the vinyl top. 1
Steve H Posted January 14 Posted January 14 Excellent looking build Greg. Great colour combo, and it sits just right 👌(hope fully “ 👌” doesn’t turn into a question mark!😂) I like those factory wheels, good choice to leave them on. Underhood details look good too. 1
XYHARRY Posted January 17 Posted January 17 Beautiful GTO there Greg, that colour really looks good against the vinyl roof. Well done. Cheers, David. 😎👍 1
