Eric from Moebius is really good about posting new kit announcements here. Until we get an official announcement from him with box art, I wouldn’t put much stock in anyone else’s projections.

This is supposedly in the works, but they have multiple other kits to bring to market before them embark on this series of kits.

Their site says: “This is a placeholder for an upcoming release. Pricing is at zero to allow for email alert signup.”

Not sure why that would be there if there wasn’t some word that it was coming this year, but usually Model Roundup is fairly reliable and I haven’t seen anything there yet.

I looked at it as well and it does state in the description due late 2025,maybe they're just gauging interest in the kit?.

Moebius had that sign on their table at a show last year so I'd say they do intend to produce the kit, just a matter of when.

It's a couple of pictures of the placard Moebius had on their table at the Hobby Expo in Vegas in late 2023. Obviously they didn't quite hit that 2024 date. Somewhere on here in the Car section Dave addressed the development of their future projects and as I recall this was still in the design stages with other stuff coming before it.

Sunward are some strange cats in general based on their YouTube channel content. I suppose it's meant to be humorous, but it just comes off as weird.

Moby runs in a pretty linear fashion - they get one done and then move on to the next.  I think I speak for the other kids in the corner of the lunchroom talking about models when I say they are invariably worth the wait!

I can't wait for all the possible variations of this tooling. I'm sure we'll see a 4x4 at some point. A long bed as well. And of course the model year updates to do a '68 (easiest from a '67) to the '69-70 and '71-72 versions. Personally looking most forward to being able to build a '69 short bed 4x4.

Make it a '68 with a long bed and I'll buy one in a second.

Me, too, as I have a real '68 in my garage!  Unrestored, from Washington state, waiting for an ambition increase and an automatic trans crossmember.

The pic Moebius originally used was from an on-line sale ad of a customized truck. Am I correct in thinking that the big window was also available in '67 along with the small window?

Anyway, I'm thinking that when this does hit the shelves it will be a '68. Makes more sense to do a '68 cab with the big rear window and side marker lights then the small window, no markers '67. Then the cab can easily be used for every other year up to '72.

Honestly they could make the "small back window" an insert for the cab if they want to make a '67. Side markers could just be decals so that wouldn't matter.

I had thought about the back window using an insert for the small window. The markers are actually inset into the openings so for a lot of us decals would not be ,, lets say "ideal". and it's a lot easier to fill in the openings then it would be to cut them out. This is how it's done with 1/1 replacement fenders. They don't make '67 specific fenders without the openings.

But we'll see when it out.
