With some inspiration from the California Kid Express that was recently debuted, I started working on this project.

This started as an AMT 34 Ford 5w coupe. Modified the cabin into a PU cab and chopped it about 3”, Little modifying to the rear fenders to fit the shortened bed from the AMT 34 Ford PU

Was a fun build, but I wasn't able to get happy with the wheels, so I modified the axle ends and back/inside of the wheels so the wheels are held on with magnets. This way I can swap them out if the right wheel comes to my vision.

Wheels are my resin castings that are copies from the Revel 32 Ford roadster that I machined down to fit Modelhaus tires front and rear. Front axle from a Revell 32 Ford.

Paint is Tamiya rattle can with lots of wet sanding and polishing. NO clearcoat though.

Man that's a good looking 34 pickup.  I think a night pic under a street lamp would give it a sinister look.  Nicely done.

I like it! Looks like something Posies might have built back in the 90’s with the combo of the cast finish Halibrand’s and whitewall bias ply’s. Hard to say what could be a better wheel on it. I think these look good!
