Claude Thibodeau Posted April 10 Posted April 10 Hi! Full disclosure: I had a 1/1 85 Turbo-Coupe TBird back then , and I loved the car. Nostalgia got me to take a Monogram Iaconnio TBird pro-stock, and adapt it to street duty. I wondered what the SVO division might have done if asked to create a car for the show circuit. So... Monogram's racing bird kit, witn a road-worthy interior and large diameter Maisto rolling stock (narrowed in the front), and the hood and headlight lenses (modified) pirated from the 87 Turbo-coupe. + some parts-bin pieces (seats, roll-bar, etc. Scratchbuilt dash, door panels & console, hood hinges, injection system, etc. . Tamya's titanium silver. Revell's spray chrome on various parts. Hours of fun with styrene! CT 22
karbuildr Posted April 10 Posted April 10 Very well done street machine. Wild wheel and tire combo looks great, outstanding engine detail, very nice color.
thatz4u Posted April 10 Posted April 10 CT, I have a 92 T-bird setting in my to do pile waiting for some ideas, THEN this one gets posted...thanks...
happy grumpy Posted April 10 Posted April 10 Radical and elegant. Didn't expect anything less. Great take on the T-bird. Those wheels are gorgeous.
Rattlecan Dan Posted April 10 Posted April 10 Whoa! Now there's a bird you don't want to mess with! Nice job!
ea0863 Posted April 11 Posted April 11 I love it Claude! Your whole collection of builds seem to begin with "what if....". So creative!
ybsluos Posted April 11 Posted April 11 (edited) Claude you beast!  Nice job narrowing the front wheels and tires.  I like the way the inside sidewalls are tapered too.  The Ford poverty caps are a nice touch.  You may hate me for this because I know what it’s like to have too many projects but I have a suggestion for a nice counterpart to this build….Pro Street Lincoln LSC done similar fashion.  Tell ya what if you decide to do it I will donate some Lincoln dog dish caps from a Monogram 41 Lincoln.  Also I may have a set of big Maisto diecast rolling stock. Just a thought.  Anyhow I love your build.  -Mark Edited April 12 by ybsluos Typo

Ragtop Man Posted April 11 Posted April 11 Awesome concept and build! Really fine execution of the idea, too, it is all of a piece, so to speak.Â

Muncie Posted April 11 Posted April 11 No salt this time. Way cool! On the top and inside, it looks like great for cruiser and road trip. Underneath, all business. Love it!Â
Steve H Posted April 12 Posted April 12 Another home run Claude! Fantastic execution as always. I like Mark’s (ybsluos) idea about the Lincoln. If you don’t do it, maybe I’ll have a go at it…🤔😜 1
