Monty Posted 17 hours ago Posted 17 hours ago (edited) Saw two of these in this color in a parking lot the other day. I'm trying to imagine someone shopping for a Chevy Traverse, seeing one in this color, and saying "Yes! That's exactly what I'm looking for!" Meanwhile, back at GM Edited 17 hours ago by Monty 2
johnyrotten Posted 17 hours ago Posted 17 hours ago I'm personally sick of the "boring gray" color a lot of new cars have. Looks like gloss cleared primer. Cars today don't have the bodylines and styling for the colors they have. That "pearl puke" color ☝️above would work on a 30's-50's car, called something else obviously. 4

Definitely agree about the glossed primer look. I'm guessing they decided not to list it as 2K Rat Gray. 2
StevenGuthmiller Posted 17 hours ago Posted 17 hours ago That color is becoming quite popular. Toyota calls it “Moon Rock”. 😊 While I can’t say that it’s particularly pleasant for me either, I still think it beats 5 different shades of gray. I’m pretty sure that this shade of green was quite popular in the 40s and early 50s. Steve 1

Big Messer Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago Cars this days come in three colors: black, white and grayscale. That's it. 1

NYLIBUD Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago Here’s one ugly color on one of the ugliest, dumbest looking car/truck,POS,SUV..No offense to anyone weird enough to buy and drive one. What was Tesla thinking?🤮😵💫🤯.And this Jeep.👎👎 1 1
1972coronet Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago yeah... the influx of "East German Grey" and "Moscow Metallic" is as bland as it gets. Then there's the "Poodle Poop Pearl" on some trucks (seen quite a couple of Colorado in that colour) . On the other end of the spectrum ; the brighter colours don't look right on these monochromatic TupperWare rigs . 1

Ace-Garageguy Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago (edited) I remember several colors back in the '60s and '70s reminiscent of stuff that would come out of babies on occasion, in the mustard yellow, brown, and pea green families. I had Fiats in both of these colors...and kinda liked 'em. Edited 13 hours ago by Ace-Garageguy 1
89AKurt Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago Mercedes Benz had "safety" colors, sort of pasty pastels. I'm wondering what's up with matt bland grey or black on Rolls and such, Bat Man? My ex-wife asked if I noticed the new muddy colors, like it's from mixing up low bottles of Model Master military colors. Makes me want to repaint my '16 Honda Civic turquoise.

Rodent Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago What color (colour) do you guys want to see on new cars? Yellow? Jade green? Purple? Non-metallic orange? Dark brown? Racing beige?
Bills72sj Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago I agree that today's "Transportation Appliances" seem to be mostly white grey/silver or black. The one notable exception is the pretty red on some of the Mazdas. Our household has a Flame Red '03 Durango and my black and gold two-tone '72 Grand Prix. I will NEVER own a grey/silver 4 door ANYTHING!
stitchdup Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago my sister has has a pretty nice shade of red on her focus. its close to fire engine red but with a touch of orange pearl
iamsuperdan Posted 48 minutes ago Posted 48 minutes ago How does that saying go about opinions and what they're like? So for everyone that dislikes a colour, there will be someone who loves it. Case in point: the OP posted Chevrolet's new Cacti Green. HE hates it. I love it. Reminds me of my dream Land Rover in Keswick Green. And if someone hates the colour of the CYbertruck, then that must mean they also hate this: And must also hate the colour on this: Myself, I can't understand Toyota's thinking with this. Terra. It's even worse in person.
Big Messer Posted 37 minutes ago Posted 37 minutes ago (edited) Opinions are like that spot where the sun never shines: everybody has one. Just admit it, respect everybody else's one and carry on. Edited 37 minutes ago by Big Messer
Rob Hall Posted 35 minutes ago Posted 35 minutes ago I like that Chevy green, a Corvette would look good in it...better that awful battleship gray that is so popular, or the usual silver, black and white... 1

The Land Rover looks great in that color, with the white top and wheel. I find the shape of the vehicle either compliments or detracts from the color. And vice versa.

I've seen Broncos and Bronco Sports in a similar color w/ white grille, white wheels and roof and I like the look..
