JTalmage Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 (edited) Here's a dirty pic of my Daily Driver, I didnt have any pics of it til I hauled a buddy's new car home for him. '04 Ford Ranger XLT, FX4 Level II package Black, w/ black interior, red inserts in the seats, 4.0 SOHC v6, automatic (rebuilt), 4.10 gears, Bilstein shocks, skid plates, etc, etc... Oh, and rolling on mud tires for the winter here in Ohio Edited February 13, 2014 by JTalmage
gotnitro Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 surprised you fit your R1 in straight with the tailgate up. i have to put my KX in my '90 stepper corner to corner to shut the gate I had a 2004 GSXR 600 that I used to put in straight as well and could still shut the tailgate. The only problem is that I shaved the outside of tailgate and the handle is on the inside so when you close the tail gate the hande is up against the tire. But its no big deal to pick the backend of the bike up and move it over an inch or two to open the handle. Thats a good looking truck and comp orange GT gotnitro! Thanks!

Cobrawannabe Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 Forgive me if this si a repeated thread (I can't imagine it isn't), but after searching several phrases, I couldn't find a thread asking everyone what they actually drive. We've all shared our model cars, now let's see your full-scale cars and trucks! Mine... Car: 2006 Ford Focus ST Modifications: -H&R Coilovers -Keegan|Brock Development adjustable sway bar endlinks -Keegan|Brock Development adjustable toe arms -MOOG camber bolts (rear) -Energy Suspension polyurethane torque strut (lower engine mount) bushings -Marcy Motorsports cold-air intake -Keegan|Brock Development 2.5" T304 stainless steel exhaust -Steeda Tri-Ax short-throw shifter -SVT/FRPP aluminum pedals -Keegan|Brock Development flocked dash panel -Keegan|Brock Development flocked door pull surrounds -Redline Goods leather shifter/e-brake boots -Silver headlight housings with Frenched turn signal chambers -Clear marker lights -FocusSport front lip -Borbet Type T wheels in 17x7.5 with 205/40-14 rubber -H&R extended wheel studs -Several more sets of wheels -Thule Aero roof rack & fairing -I'm sure I'm forgetting other stuff Anything that you see labeled as "Keegan|Brock Development" is something that I personally designed and built with my business, otherwise known as K|Bdev. We specialize in modifying European cars, and are known for our unique, high-quality exhaust work. . And here's how the car sits in the winter time, on 15" "basketweaves" off of an '87 Merkur XR4Ti and 195/60-16 Hankook Optimos. Even at this height, it's darn near unstoppable in the snow!
1972coronet Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 Personal Vehicles : - 2013 Civic EX 2 door , stone stock - 1972 Dodge Coronet . Tired 318 V8 (worn cam lobes , thanks to the API) , 904 Torqueflite with Trans-Go shift improver and heavy duty bands / frictions , and ; 2.71 geared 8.25" diff. Work Vehicles : - 2004 Colorado . 172, 000 miles . I spent three hours scrubbing its interior when our store "inherited" that gem . Thank God for vinyl seats and rubber floor covering ! - 2014 Silverado . Gutless gas hog 4.3 litre V6 , 4L60E , and some ridiculously-high gear ratio ( numerically-low ; *maybe* 3.08 !) Someday , the Coronet's tired 318 will be rebuilt -or replaced- with another 318 ; however , its cam specs will be much healthier than the broom handle that's in there stock . Most likely an Edelbrock intake with a Holley 4 Bbl , and "308" heads ; would like to convert to roller lifters / cam , as to get around the lack of ZDDP in motor oils (since 2006 !!) .

Cobrawannabe Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 (edited) i'd like to get one of t hose next fro my daily driver/ family car!! its pretty quick? i know they came in standard shifts fairly good mpg?? The specific car in this picture (if the wheels are correct) is a 1998, which gave it 195hp out of the 2.5 DOHC Duratec V6. Half way through 1998, Ford began using the "Extrude Hone" process that the cars were so famous for, bumping the power to 200 even. The 200hp cars (known as E1s vs. the E0 pictured above) are distinguished by the updated "mini-Cobra" wheels. The cars were not the absolute fastest thing on the road, but they were very, very quick, and the chassis was unbelievably good. You are correct that they (in true SVT form) only came with a 5-speed, and they got between 25 and 30 mpg mixed. While Duratecs are silky smooth and they make absolutely wonderful noises, they're not known to be terrifically fuel efficient. If you ask me, that's a small price to pay for such an awesome engine. Cobrawannabe Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 (edited) Thanks so much! I've put a lot of love into the car so far, but it does still have a long way to go. I do live in the states, Connecticut to be exact. I see you're in PA. If you want a look at the car, I'll be in Carlisle for the Ford Nationals this year. Edited March 9, 2014 by Cobrawannabe

The Junkman Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 (edited) I got this back in April. Told the insurance that I would put, maybe, 5K miles on it. Just clicked over 16K on Friday. Ooops. I had wanted a Grabber Blue Mustang since I was 17 and I saw my first 1970 Boss 302. Had to go through a lot of minivans to get here. Edited March 9, 2014 by The Junkman

ChrisBcritter Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 (edited) I drive this: 1978 Buick LeSabre. Bought it in 2002 from the original little old lady owner in Burbank, CA with 48k on it; it now has 58k. It's got the V-6 with 105 throbbing horsepower, but it's in good shape and comfortable to drive. Now that I'm back in IL I just hope I can stave off the body rot for a few more years. And for my Southern California friends, maybe you'll recognize the characters on the sunshade: Shorty and Cheap Chicken from the old National Lumber commercials! charlie8575 Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 Very nice, Chris. My first car was a 1977 Estate Wagon. Might be wise to consider grabbing a winter car and putting that into storage for the bad weather. Charlie Larkin

Charlie Larkin Charlie is right, clean it up nice and park it for the winter and use a winter beater.
Agent G Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Ditto the above. That Buick is way too nice to let rot. G
