Jeff Johnston Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 I painted this MCW 1966 Ford Emberglo paint. Tried to make this a 66 convertible, but I made a few mistakes...You mustang folks will see them Onto the next project !
Greg Pugh Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 That's a nice looking model. Wow! Cool color combo!!
Fast Floyd 2 Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 WOW !!!!! Nice build, Looks excellent. Thanks for sharing
Guest Posted November 23, 2011 Posted November 23, 2011 Super nice Mustang Jeff! I really like the Emberglo paint on it! Great work!
Sixties Sam Posted November 23, 2011 Posted November 23, 2011 Super build! The trunk detail is great! Engine detail too! Very nice Mustang. Sam
Lunajammer Posted November 23, 2011 Posted November 23, 2011 That's absolutely beautiful. I'm glad you didn't mention the mistakes because I wouldn't know them to see them. I just see a meticulous rich piece.
Maindrian Pace Posted November 23, 2011 Posted November 23, 2011 The only non-'66 things I see are the instrument cluster, and the stripe/fender emblems aren't exact if it's a GT, and for a non-GT, there should be the rear 1/4 panel trim ornaments in the coves. BUT, none of that matters here, it's just a beautiful build and a killer color combination. -MJS
Jantrix Posted November 23, 2011 Posted November 23, 2011 That is some seriously nice work. It's beautiful.
crazyjim Posted November 23, 2011 Posted November 23, 2011 Gorgeous build and SHINY :) Old Mustang Sally down the street has an original white 1965 Mustang with a 289 automatic. Saw her a few weeks and she doesn't want to sell it.
Harry P. Posted November 23, 2011 Posted November 23, 2011 That looks really good! Nice attention to detail, and the interior looks cool!
Eshaver Posted November 23, 2011 Posted November 23, 2011 Considering the many of these i have either towed , welded on and repaired , i find the overall job to be a very representative example of one of these cars ............. now go have fun showing it ! Ed Shaver
groo12 Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 Just beautiful. The stuff in the boot suits it to a t.
maltsr Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 Same as everyone else has said, only more so - awesome build
DumpyDan Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 Now that is beautiful, I have one in the waiting. Thanks for showing
CorvairJim Posted November 26, 2011 Posted November 26, 2011 Jeff, I'm not a Ford guy by any means, but I have done a few of these kits just so I didn't let the rest of a kit go to waste after amputating their roofs as donors for 4-door hardtop conversions on Corvair coupe models. So if you still have the roof from this one, could you send it my way? Here is an example of what I'm talking about: (Your Mustang convertible came out better than the ones I've done, clearly because you're into the subject matter. Nice job!)
Jeff Johnston Posted November 26, 2011 Author Posted November 26, 2011 Jim I love the conversion on your Corvair. This was actually a convertible kit and the top in the kit is a convertible uptop...I painted the uptop the same light tan and you are welcome to it if you want it. JJ
