Ace-Garageguy Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 Anybody have any experience with or reviews of Ron Cash Resin products?
george 53 Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 Is he still in buisness??? I haven't heard of anything new from him in YEARS!
Tom Jackson Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 Ron Cash has been gone along time now. The products I have had where always good
dimaxion Posted August 25, 2012 Posted August 25, 2012 I managed to get a kit I was wanting from him . Excellent casting , like the parts/pieces I bought from Ron . RIP , Bless your Family . Thanx ..
PatRedmond Posted August 25, 2012 Posted August 25, 2012 His widow is currently selling his builds on eBay
Ace-Garageguy Posted August 25, 2012 Author Posted August 25, 2012 Ah, that explains it. I've seen a couple of his '34 shells listed and wondered.......
jas1957 Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 Ron died in 2007, because of poor health he had not cast anything for several years before that. Pat is correct his widow is currently selling his personal collection on ebay. Sad for many reasons, he was a very good friend & his products were first quality.
Steve Kohler Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 I believe R&R Vacuum Craft has the masters from Ron Cash. Ray and Ron were good friends.
iBorg Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 Ron was one of the first quality casters. Not quite Modelhaus but definetly better than his other competitors.
Austin T Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 Just looked up his builds on ebay, ashamed they are being scattered across the world.Would be nice for them to all go to that model museum in Utah.
1930fordpickup Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 Great guy great product. I always liked talking to him and his wife at Toledo .
Casey Posted December 29, 2020 Posted December 29, 2020 Finally was able to buy one of Ron's offerings. ?
BubbaBrown Posted January 1, 2021 Posted January 1, 2021 I have a 1965 2+2 Mustang trans kit of his, nice car and nice guy. I met him in toledo years ago, RIP and sympathies to the family.

Agreed. Tristate Scale Model Car Club / NNL East bought two models he built, I believe a Thomas Flyer and a Mack Bulldog, and donated them to the museum. Not the most memorable builds of his but we only got wind that his builds were being dispersed once the magazine cars were already gone. Edited January 1, 2021 by Tom Geiger
Casey Posted January 1, 2021 Posted January 1, 2021 Here's a 1/25(?) White truck cab by Ron Cash, too:
Tarkmucker Posted July 19, 2024 Posted July 19, 2024 Went to my local hobby shop today and picked up a few kits. One in particular had sharpie on the bottom “kitbash” next to the price tag. Box felt heavy so I asked to open it when I got to the register. As soon as I saw what was in it I no longer cared if the kit was complete or not, the rest of the items were enough for me. The Karmann Ghia sedan delivery is a Ron Cash piece from ‘93. Not sure if the other KG body is as well, it’s hard to make out what the letters are under the cowl. Based on a few features on the inside of the body I’m going to assume it’s not a Cash body. The rest of the Cabriolet kit is in disarray but I’m okay with it. Most of the original kit is gone but has been replaced by parts from a pink kit.
bobss396 Posted July 19, 2024 Posted July 19, 2024 I have one of his '40 Ford bodies, chopped and channeled. I have to dig it out.
