Just got home from the local swap meet. model show. Sold a few things but I felt foot traffic was way down from the last time I hit this show .So sales wasnt as good as I had hoped / expected them to be,,,especially compared to last time .

I did pick up a REALLY nice 1962 Bonneville convertible.

Also got two decent 1960 Lincoln convertibles, as well as a 1959 Edsel convertible.

One of the Lincolns is missing the windshield frame ( glass itself is ok ) but over all looks decent ( it was cheap ) But it'll make good resell and/or trade material .

Guess it's not too bad goin to the cosmetics store with your wife when said store has a big clearance rack with nail polish on it.

I got the clear for .99 cents. I wonder how it will come out.

I am gonna paint the Camaro with one of these Wicked Colors. I also bought a can of Foil Spray Adhesive so that I can try out Tulio's method.

Some great looking colors there. I'm quite anxious to try some.

Despite the dirt and dust, she's still a beauty Steve! Hope the pieces that were stolen  are readily available to replace. That sucks though.

It's actually a little funny Andy! here's a short list of a few parts that were missing. Of course, the speakers. & they damaged the rear package shelf trying to get them out because they had no access to the trunk. They tried to remove the radio, but failed. Incompetent thieves as well! :D But here's where it gets strange. Along with the air cleaner, alternator & oil filler cap, they also stole things like the upper radiator hose, the door lock buttons & the last 2 feet of the passenger side exhaust pipe! With possibly $1000.00 or more worth of rally ll wheels, rings & caps staring them in the face, they chose the radiator hose & a tail pipe!! Yikes!

Pay attention in the area. When you see a similar auto driving around, there's your suspects.

I live about 100 miles from the area where the car was stored, so finding a suspect will be nearly impossible. It was stored in a farm shed outside of a small town in southern MN. The original owner died some years ago, & the house was rented to.....well, let's just say, some less than desirable tenants over the years. Apparently, at one point, there was a meth cooking operation going on there. I'm assuming that the possibility that the hoses & pipes may have come in handy for this sort of operation?? Anyway, If I had known that this kind of activity was taking place there, I probably would have moved it sooner. But, all of the vital parts remain intact, & the missing parts will generally be easily replaced.

At a local toy/train show, I scored a 1/25 diecast '65 Riviera (never seen one before!) in near-new shape for $10. I'll be working my model-fu magic on it.

Also got a started, tires-missing MPC Barris Dune Buggy for $8. I mainly just needed the Corvair engine, transaxle and rear suspension for another dune buggy project I have in mind, so thought it was worth that to me for those parts.

Hey Rich. You got any pics? I aint ever seen that either.

I was at church today and one of the guys I look up to in the congregation asked me if I'd go out to his car as he had something for me. Lo and behold he gave me this:

I'll be taking Before And After pics. I forget who made it but I did notice on the underside it said "1/26 Scale." Yes, 1/26. Close enough It's silver with a black "vinyl" top. I'll be polishing out a few smudges on the silver paint, and then doing some detail painting on it.

Maisto made that Riviera I believe..I've seen them before.

Yea, Maisto makes stuff in 1/24, 1/25, 1/26, 1/27.... at least they mark it. I guess this is the modern version of 'box scale' that promo manufacturers did in the early 1960s.

Someone in the hobby spoke to someone at Maisto about doing a consistent scale, and they said it didn't hurt their sales any.

Got these two beauties in the post this week, both complete and in good condition. They weren't bargains but I had temporarily lost all sense of priority and had to have them. Two more from the same era are on the way.

It always makes me smile to get one of these little boxes from the "Modelhaus".

A pair of bucket seats & a set of tail lights for my '67 Bonneville, & 4 more sets of my addiction....Modelhaus wide whites! :D
