unclescott58 Posted February 28, 2018 Posted February 28, 2018 I'm not 100% sure if this the right place to post this one, or not? In today's mail, I got Model Motoring's repop of Aurora Model Motoring HO Judges Stand. It looks like an exact replica made from the old Aurora molds.

That large scale Corvette looks very interesting. Thank you both and yes Mark, that Vette is. Though it doesn't show it on the front, it also comes with decals for the 1978 Indy Pace Car Edition! That now gives me that car in three scales, this 1/8th, MPC's 1/16th scale, and Revell/Monogram's 1/24th scale version. 8 hours ago, Joe Handley said: Whoa, where did you find the little Shelby at?! In a garage in PA LOL!! A friend buys collections and sells on a live auction group on Facebook, and I just happened to spot it while I was "shopping" there yesterday. Everything in the first pic was all from there, his garage is better than any hobby shop LOL!!

Ace-Garageguy Posted March 1, 2018 Posted March 1, 2018 (edited) A real oddball. Not a great kit, intended to be motorized, but the proportions are right and it's a technically interesting car with a twin-tube chassis and a mid-mounted twin-cam 4 cylinder sidewinder. Kind of a baby Miura. And an ancestor of the Alfa Tipo 33. I didn't have much in 1/16, but a post by Jantrix got me looking around, and when one of these came up cheap ($9.99) nobody else wanted it. Just inventoried it, and it's only missing one seat. Edited March 1, 2018 by Ace-Garageguy

There's really not much to tell, because what you see in the pic is about all I know about it. A couple friends I know believe it may be a Jimmy Flintstone, as well as the 70 Challenger body, and the only thing for certain that I know is that it is based off of the AMT Chevelle donor kit underneath it. I'm considering using the much newer tooling 68 El Camino as a donor, since the taillights from the Chevelle don't match the older style lights from a pre 70 Chevelle and the El Caminos, but the 68 shows how it seems there are a few dimension issues on the resin body, as the 68 frame will need a little shortening and the rear bumper and taillight housings a little reworking to fit. Oh, and sorry for the sideways pics, the forum wouldn't upload them as I took them, they would only upload if they were rotated sideways.
cobraman Posted March 2, 2018 Posted March 2, 2018 Got another Cobra kit for a special project I have in mind . Also got issue 205 of the magazine !

I wouldn’t call him a good brother I had to pay for it. He did give me the family discount........ 10% more than what it’s worth.
Danno Posted March 2, 2018 Posted March 2, 2018 ISSUE 205!!! It's a good one in the tradition of the best issues! Long and eagerly awaited, for certain! Great reading. Sad to say, it is also the last one Harry Pristovnik laid out before his death. There won't be any more "Harry" issues. The silver lining to that cloud is that our friend Sean Svensen is taking on the Graphics/Design role. Great job, Gregg, Darryl, and crew.

Anglia105E Posted March 2, 2018 Posted March 2, 2018 This arrived in the post today.... a second (green) Tamiya Morgan to go with my (yellow) Tamiya Morgan. Green one is for restoration, no wheels apart from the spare on the boot lid and £10 GBP on Ebay. Quite a good paint job on the green one so I won't need to repaint it. Got some chrome wire spoked wheels ready to go on the car, from a Tamiya Jaguar MK II. David
