How 'bout an air cooled Bug engine (running on bio-fuel, of course) driving a generator on a trailer behind it, and cover it with peace and love and flower stickers?

Stromgenerator , Notstromgenerator , Notstromgruppe , Generator 380 V , 30KVA , 45,5A , VW Benzin - Motor

It could make an interesting Cannonball entry!

Hobby Lobby score today at lunch time, all for $63 out the door. When I was there the lady was marking down the Iwata airbrush stuff to half off, including compressors.

Working out of town in Baton Rouge and I found a hobby shop that’s totally AMAZING!!

The name of it is Hobby Towne and it’s located at 8484 Airline Hwy in Baton Rouge. I picked up a couple of cans of spray paint and a couple of kits I’ve been on the look for that I could afford.

If you’re ever in the area check them out, you won’t be disappointed!

Checked out the local comic book store this week, because I saw online they they carried supplies for miniatures - those Warhammer type tabletop games.

They had some interesting stuff that I picked up to play with…some interesting acrylic paints that I hadn’t tried before, some materials that will be useful for diorama type projects plus some interesting tools…I grabbed this weighted handle, which is spring loaded to allow you to hold a small whatever-you’re-working-on for painting and detailing.

Went to Hobby Lobby this morning and picked up the following:

  • AMT 1960 Chevy Short Bed pickup truck w/Go cart
  • Testors One Coat Lacquer Fiery Orange
  • Craft paint Orange
  • Weathering set
  • The "Old Guys Rule" sign

Excited to eventually build her (whenever that will be). The plan is making a somewhat mild custom which you might see at the Drive In, or a local track back in the late 50's/early 60's. I'm going to be painting the Fiery Orange for the cab, hood, and bed. Since the roof is two pieces I'm thinking either Testors Graphite Dust, Diamond Dust, or Blazing Black for the top of the roof. The Go cart will be most likely have a Black frame, and an Aluminum shade for the body. Also I thought the metal sign would look good in my display area. Although as much as I love the older (1977 and earlier) pickup trucks I have not built many over the years. I guess it's about time to start.

Since it's 40% off this week at HL, I took a drive. The '71 was the last one and at that price, it was a no brainer. The '55 was 🤔°° because I wanted it.. also picked up some brushes, it never hurts to have fresh brushes. I was a little disappointed, they did not have a decent selection of tools, glues or paints. But the Olds kit did kinda made up for it.

I will definitely watch that build. Watched that show with my dad for many years…
