It could make an interesting Cannonball entry! 1
Zen Posted Monday at 06:03 PM Posted Monday at 06:03 PM Hobby Lobby score today at lunch time, all for $63 out the door. When I was there the lady was marking down the Iwata airbrush stuff to half off, including compressors. 5
Lownslow Posted Monday at 10:51 PM Posted Monday at 10:51 PM Went to the paint store for clear hardner and noticed a premix section and sure enough two great colors at 5$ a bottle came home. 3
Keef Posted Monday at 10:58 PM Posted Monday at 10:58 PM Working out of town in Baton Rouge and I found a hobby shop that’s totally AMAZING!! The name of it is Hobby Towne and it’s located at 8484 Airline Hwy in Baton Rouge. I picked up a couple of cans of spray paint and a couple of kits I’ve been on the look for that I could afford. If you’re ever in the area check them out, you won’t be disappointed! 8
OldNYJim Posted yesterday at 03:14 AM Posted yesterday at 03:14 AM Checked out the local comic book store this week, because I saw online they they carried supplies for miniatures - those Warhammer type tabletop games. They had some interesting stuff that I picked up to play with…some interesting acrylic paints that I hadn’t tried before, some materials that will be useful for diorama type projects plus some interesting tools…I grabbed this weighted handle, which is spring loaded to allow you to hold a small whatever-you’re-working-on for painting and detailing. 5

JerseeJerry55 Posted yesterday at 08:30 PM Posted yesterday at 08:30 PM Went to Hobby Lobby this morning and picked up the following: AMT 1960 Chevy Short Bed pickup truck w/Go cart Testors One Coat Lacquer Fiery Orange Craft paint Orange Weathering set The "Old Guys Rule" sign Excited to eventually build her (whenever that will be). The plan is making a somewhat mild custom which you might see at the Drive In, or a local track back in the late 50's/early 60's. I'm going to be painting the Fiery Orange for the cab, hood, and bed. Since the roof is two pieces I'm thinking either Testors Graphite Dust, Diamond Dust, or Blazing Black for the top of the roof. The Go cart will be most likely have a Black frame, and an Aluminum shade for the body. Also I thought the metal sign would look good in my display area. Although as much as I love the older (1977 and earlier) pickup trucks I have not built many over the years. I guess it's about time to start. 5

A modeler named mike Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago Since it's 40% off this week at HL, I took a drive. The '71 was the last one and at that price, it was a no brainer. The '55 was 🤔°° because I wanted it.. also picked up some brushes, it never hurts to have fresh brushes. I was a little disappointed, they did not have a decent selection of tools, glues or paints. But the Olds kit did kinda made up for it. 2

I've noticed other guys who've bought the '71 Olds all got the clearence price of $9. Also the reason why I got another one myself was the clear out price. But knowing the hobby lobby I go to, kits have to be sitting for years and years before getting a clear-out price. That's how I got the 1/16 scale '57 T-bird; also $9 clearence.
JerseeJerry55 Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Just got these today. Made a trade with MCMF member Little Timmy. Great to deal with. Thinking about building them as a drag set using the trailer from the AMT Cal Drag Combo. It’s gonna be a 2026 project for sure. 1

You got a great deal on the T-bird. They had them in stock but were the regular price.

This one I have now, I might have to keep unbuilt and in the packages; who knows, maybe in the next 60 years it'll have Jo-Han kit rarity status LOL. But I'll probably build it.

It'll be reissued in a few years, it'll never be very rare.
