The way he got them was the original owner had taken them out of the boxes, cut the parts from the trees and put them in Zip-Loc bags. Downside is that you have no idea if all there just hoping it is. Upside, he was giving them away FREE. Just wanted to clear out some space. Anyway, I chose these three. I'll eventually inventory them but may not build them. Just thought these were the most interesting to me. All of those Tamiya kits are still very much sought after. A very good score even if they off their sprues and bagged. 2
Zen Posted Wednesday at 11:31 AM Posted Wednesday at 11:31 AM These two in the last few days. Can anyone verify if the Taxi is an original issue? 5

oldcarfan Posted Thursday at 02:16 AM Posted Thursday at 02:16 AM We returned from our trip to Salt Lake City the other day. My wife had meetings to attend so I made my own fun while there. This is a store review plus a what did I get post. MRS Hobbies, West Valley Hobby and Super Anime Store are in the area and I recommend them. MRS Hobbies is an old school shop crammed to the gills with kits and supplies of all types. I went a little crazy with the Aoshima kits and stocked up on Tamiya paints and even found a can of Model Master Dark Yellow. West Valley also has an amazing stock of supplies and kits. I found a lot of things I didn't know existed. Super Anime Store is more anime figure oriented but they did have a few kits like the Nissan Silvia. Anyway, if you're in the area give them a try. Oh and the views were cool too, I guess. lol. We drove up Pike's Peak and went to South Park Colorado and rode an old time steam train. Can't complain! 7

A pretty beat up 63 thunderbird, definitely some kids toy (adds character they tell me). The people had it listed for $40, no way is it worth that in this state. Told them they had it marked as a 65 and it was a 63, mentioned the broken a pillars, and the worn off chrome. All that got me this beaut for $20, not bad. That’ll buff out.😬 1

Just arrived from UPS from megahobby as they had it the cheapest @$215. I love these 1/35 scale kits no matter the subject, because they’re just so detailed. Edited Friday at 03:39 PM by Dpate 5

It's a great tool, especially if you get the full set of blades. Not cheap, but worth it. There's a learning curve, but it does a vastly superior job than the old number 11 blade (turned backwards or whatever), because it takes a nice curl of material out of the depth of the scribe, without making it any wider. Ace-Garageguy Posted Saturday at 03:30 PM Posted Saturday at 03:30 PM (edited) Haven't bought one yet, but I realized I have exactly zero Fox-body Mustangs. Kinda odd I suppose, because it's such a wildly popular real-world car...but maybe that's the reason. I like unusual. Only problem is I have no idea what to build it into. A mildly flared canyon-carver might be nice, 'cause the high-winding SBF really lends itself to that kind of thing... Edited Saturday at 04:33 PM by Ace-Garageguy 3

Shipping says it should be here in a week or two. I'm stoked. Will post pics upon arrival. On 8/11/2025 at 3:13 PM, FoMoCo66 said: Nice, what is it? So holy cow. I bought this on eBay on Sunday. Half the price of what these normally sell for. It arrived here yesterday. Purchase, shipping, arrival. China to Canada. Basically 5 days. Complete and unstarted. The body's windshield pillar is a little bent. And it's strange because the two Volvo 850 Turbo wagon kits I have both have the same bent windshield. Same side too. I figure, once I get the glass in place, they'll straighten out and be just fine. The plastic isn't stretched or miscoloured, so should be good. Decals are slightly yellowed, so I've alreayd ordered the replacement setby SK Decals from SpotModel. Should be here next week. Super excited to start this one. 7
