Found a few treasures at Buckeye Scale Auto show in Hilliard Ohio...a hobby shop was clearing inventory, resins were $10 each, C-10, mustang, and dodge L700 were half off. Box of 1/20 scale parts, LRW kit and new shirt!

Great haul. Lots of really cool stuff, there.

I'm really digging the Jo-Han swag. Where does one find this stuff?

Those kits are surprisingly detailed and well-done for a self-proclaimed Snap-kit - they’re a fun build!

Thanks Jim, sounds great! Perhaps a good recipient for a Corvette engine, with a bit of a hi-po street sleeper look?

We spent the weekend in San Antonio, Texas and I took the chance to hit some hobby shops. There is a new HobbyTown and I got one of my wishlist kits, the Tamiya Honda City kit which includes the little MotoCompo motorbike. I had one of these back 20 years ago traded it away. Been halfway looking ever since and there it was on the shelf. Also stocked up on weathering supplies, washes, and paints and a can of Tamiya Cobalt Green which looks like a dead ringer for Porsche Vailant Green.

Also spent some money at Dibble's Hobby which is one of the old school hobby shops. If you're ever in town please stop by there. They had another kit from my wishlist, the Audi 90. Don't know why, but I've always had a thing for those cars. They also had a Tamiya 1/35th accessory set, which I plan to make use of with another 1/24th Overlander in the near future.

And finally, my son and I found a place called Anime Tokyo. He's really into Anime and this place is nirvana for that set. They stock kits from various anime shows, lots of Gundam kits, and plenty of collectibles. No Initial D cars, sadly, lol. But I did get some paints, and some more Gundam decals which are great for adding little pops of detail to builds.

Something I forgot to add to my previous post, Dibble's Hobbies stocks Humbrol paints in the little metal tins. I didn't know they still made them!

I got these cool built survivors locally this weekend.

I am typically into 60’s vintage annual models, but as a group these kits moved me. Some look like Group 5 or Group C cars (I don't really know).

I am going to clean them up and display them together.

A guy I have had the pleasure of knowing, a long with his friends have a hobby shop near Columbus Ohio....Atomic City. They sought out and purchased the name and rights to the original Jo-Han brand.

I noticed at the Buckeye Classic that they had a table as did the other Jo-Han (Okey Spaulding)...but not near each other.   I got some product from each.

The difference is the Atomic guys own the original name..spelled..Jo-Han, while Okey sells under..Johan.

In my experience it's not what it used to be. I occasionally buy a tin or two, then always regret it and end up getting a Revell enamel instead. But I have one or two Humbrols from the 1980-90s that I still use....

Thanks Les. That would be simpler, but I got the Caprice by chance and I have a 1990s Corvette or two specifically bought as engine donors 😄

Cool find and some of my favorite cars! I'd hock my dog for those!

I believe some of those sports cars are DTM as well as WEC. Could also be one of the cup series (Porsche cup, Ferrari cup, etc.) or other touring car series.

Neighbor gave me an old two shelf cabinet. So what does a hobbyist do with such a thing? Tada made a few of my kits fit, but I think I could have fit a ton more AMT & revell kits on it. This will do for now. Thinking about getting two of the steel 4 or 5 rack thingy at Ollie’s, but I’ll take free for now.
