peekay Posted April 17, 2015 Posted April 17, 2015 Nice score, Steve, and very tastefully built by someone.
Lucas van H Posted April 17, 2015 Posted April 17, 2015 My haul from the Intermodellbau in Dortmund yesterday: Got a couple of kits I didn't plan to get, but it's better to have something in the stash than to buy a new kit over and over again.
ChrisBcritter Posted April 17, 2015 Posted April 17, 2015 Just came in the mail today. This one has never really been on my radar, but it was in such nice shape, I just had to. Steve Niiiice. I may be able to help you on the stock wheelcovers - let me check the stash. I also have a line on a pair of Revell '62 Dodge wheelcovers (same as '63) that are more accurate - I have to pick 'em up and cast some copies.
gtx6970 Posted April 17, 2015 Posted April 17, 2015 Just came in the mail today. This one has never really been on my radar, but it was in such nice shape, I just had to. Steve Steve, I saw that one listed and almost went after it myself. I've noticed theres been a few 63 Dodge kits lately avail. on the 'Bay. I might have to snag a convertible for myself . But its not like I actually NEED it ,,,,
disabled modeler Posted April 17, 2015 Posted April 17, 2015 Me I am a mostly HT kind of guy but all those are cool.
Ron Hamilton Posted April 17, 2015 Posted April 17, 2015 Just came in the mail today. This one has never really been on my radar, but it was in such nice shape, I just had to. Steve That looks mighty familiar. I had to fix the vent windows and a sun visor, but now it's ready for primer. I like the wheel covers on yours better than the ones I got on mine.
StevenGuthmiller Posted April 17, 2015 Posted April 17, 2015 That looks mighty familiar. I had to fix the vent windows and a sun visor, but now it's ready for primer. I like the wheel covers on yours better than the ones I got on mine. I just assumed they were stock wheel covers. They're obviously Dodge Items. Either way, I like them & will likely use them on the build. Steve
MPi-KM Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 I got Monograms '85 Fiero, the dual Judson superchargers from AMTs '64 Olds Cutlass, and the premier issue of SAE from 1979.
jrherald420 Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 Just won a 1/12 Tamiya Mini Cooper and a 1/12 Fiat Altered with missing wheels for 25.00 shipped! Woohooo!
slusher Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 Just came in the mail today. This one has never really been on my radar, but it was in such nice shape, I just had to. Steve Sweet model Steve....
ChrisBcritter Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 Drove over to Streamwood at 4 AM to go to an estate sale (and signed in fourth on the list) - they let us in at 8 AM and I headed for the room that had these: Unfortunately everything was marked at retail (like $40 for the '70 Bonneville and $20-$25 for the rest) except the AMT '70 Impala at the bottom left - sealed inside, grabbed it for ten bucks; plus for two bucks more, a boxful of vintage kit wheels and hubcaps (including a set of '57 Plymouth wheelcovers, 1 3/4 sets of moon discs, '36 Ford custom hubcaps, some nice mags plus axles and screws), a Mini-Lindy 1/64 AMC Gremlin and this decal from the long-gone Santa Fe Speedway: Any Chicagoans here remember their radio jingle? "Come on down to the Santa Fe Speedway Get goosebumps as they scream down the straightaway Super Stock cars slidin' this way and thataway Round the clay track at the Santa Fe Speedway!" I have a much larger version of the image on Flickr if you like: https://www.flickr.com/photos/62734960@N02/16566763084/sizes/o/
crazyjim Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 I remember "Santa Fe - the action track of clay". Sometimes my memory remembers Dick Nelson (Chevy) but I forget his Ford nemisis' name.
wayne swayze Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 Beautiful day here in southern Ontario, so I HAD to get out! Went to my LHS, and for the 1st time EVER, he had some "gently used" kits! Definately a 1st! So (btw, they're all there...never built), I purchased 2 kits for parts and 2 small baggies with assorted stuff for a song! Put a BIG smile on my face!

Loved the demolition derbys and the figure 8 races. Was in Willow Springs wasn't it ?

mike 51 Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 How long of a shipping time have you guys experienced from Hobby Link Japan? 5 days....it would have been less if I lived near a major airport. I live in rural Nothern California.
62pyro Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 A little something from the show today. The ranger is actually 2.One partial built and one not started.
Jmaracing Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 My wife got this at a yard sale today for .50 cents.. What a deal.
niteowl7710 Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 How long of a shipping time have you guys experienced from Hobby Link Japan? The question is how did you ship it? I'm guessing el cheapo SAL in which case 10 days-3 weeks is the expected. My last HLJ SAL was 11 days, but I just received a SAL shipment from Hobby Search (HLJ's competitor) and it took 22 days.
Rob Hall Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 (edited) How long of a shipping time have you guys experienced from Hobby Link Japan? I always use Fed Ex, so usually about 3-4 business days. Edited April 19, 2015 by Rob Hall
