The "MPC" Honda Super Hawk CB77, just arrived at my local Hobby Lobby in Seneca, SC...along with the AMT '40 Ford sedan, Gear Hustler Elky, Scout II and some other new kits. Round 2 updated the Honda's decal sheet with a nice choice of different Honda emblems and markings.

The Super Hawk is shown below in its original Lindberg box, dating from the 1960's or early '70s.

Don't let the Lindberg origin scare you off. All their motorcycle kits that I've seen were very well done, and I have a few of them.  They had some of the most in-scale wheel spokes of that day.  At flea markets and swap meets, I've bought some glue-bombed and incomplete Lindberg 1/16 bike kits just to get the wheels for other projects.

I was a bit shocked to see just how small the box is in person. Granted, that's mostly due to seeing multiple 1/8 scale MPC motorcycle and mini bike kits over the last few years, but it sure would make a good sidekick to most of the semi-recent 1/16 AMT and MPC kits Round2 has reissued.

Me too, that box is small. Just for fun, I compared it to original boxes for the Lindberg 1/16 BMW R75 and Triumph Tiger 100. It's quite a bit smaller, but those old boxes were sort of over-sized and had a lot of air in them.

I also had a little sticker shock at the price: $29.99, or the same as a Round 2 car kits.  But I used a 40% off coupon.  And it's not like 1/16 scale Honda bike kits from the 1960s are common.

Revell's  later V.W Golf Gti Pirelli, and Italeri's Range Rover police car, although I'll be building it factory stock.

Snagged this on eBay today for $12 delivered to the house. Kit is sealed inside. Can't turn down a kit for $5 with $7 shipping, or at least I can't.

That's exactly what kept going through my mind as I read the listing, then made the purchase. I had done a search for '70 GTX and all the other kits that were either sealed or sealed inside were priced from $50 to $75 with the shipping. Unless I get a real shock when it gets here I'm figuring I found one of the few real "gem" deals on eBay. I sure couldn't pass it up. Besides, it's a GTX, the gentleman's muscle car.

I have built only a couple models since I “quit” building a few months ago . I have got the bug again after seeing some models that interested me . I ordered 3 . This is the first that arrived . Mobius F 100 custom cab 4x4 . First Mobius kit I have purchased but since I heard good things I gave it a try . On first inspection I am a bit disappointed . The art work on the box doesn’t seem to represent the kit . The suspension will have to be corrected if I want the ride height shown on box top . See photo from side panel . Also I don’t care for the tires included . Seem too smal And I don’t care for the tread pattern . I will be looking for ones more to my liking . Don,t mean to nit pick and these are just my opinion .

I knew you'd be back, Ray.  Glue & plastic are in your blood.   Ma's Resin used to make some gorgeous Desert Dog tires, but hacven'y heard from Al in years.  Chief Joseph might make some big tires. You might want to check him out.

Jim !  Did you say Ma's Resin !   That joker owes me for two sets of tires I bought and paid for over two years ago ! Never responded to emails or even a phone call.  I do need to find some better tires and wheels for this kit. Thanks anyway Jim.

It's got the same tires as the 2wd kit.  I figure I'll get some tires from Scenes Unlimited or Fireball for mine.   Maybe lift it a bit.

I wish I knew what happened to Ma's Resin, Ray.  It's like he just disappeared overnight.  I met him once when he was working in Florida and was such a nice guy.  My phone calls and emails haven't been returned in years.  But his FB page is still up.

Got the Dyno Don Eliminator Funny Car (finally!) at one of the local hobby shops. $34.95. Slight sticker shock, but I was buying it come heck or high water once I found one on the shelf. I still want to get several more, but will need to be cheaper for me to justify it.

Also stopped by the local to me Hobby Lobby and got the AMT 40 Ford Sedan with the 40% off coupon.

Hi Dann,

Very well thank you, but just been way too busy with my photography work, I've caught up with my work, and have got a 3 week break until my next assignment, luckily it's pretty local to where I live, time to get a little modelling done, I'm building Revell's 58 Corvette for a U.K online modelling magazine at the moment, sadly i can't share any build up photos until after it's been published.

Cool...that's a kit I didn't know existed...love that generation of S-class.   I have the Revell Premium BMW 740 Zender.   Would love to see those Premium kits reissued.
