Bobchayer Posted March 11, 2020 Posted March 11, 2020 1895 Duryea model cast in resin by Genesis2Scale LLC of Tampa, FL in October of 2010. The resin is extremely soft and pliable. The axles will have to be reinforced with stiff 1/16 in wire to be usable. All the castings have gaps and missing areas (not bubbles) that will have to be filled. All the flat surfaces will have to be resurfaced and sanded. When I received it 10 years ago I was so disappointed I lost track of it in my inventory. Found it today and will restart the build as there are few models of any vehicle of this age. This was to be Genesis2Scale's first casting of many. I have not heard of or from them since October 2010. Mr. Dissolved Putty is the perfect solution for a model of this quality.

I recall Accu Pro made an extended cab for the pickup version, but people stated it has a roof which was too flat. I don't think I've seen the Accu Pro Ramcharger, so if you are willing, please post some pics of it.

Mile High Scale Modeler Posted January 12, 2022 Posted January 12, 2022 Hello everyone! I recently did a review on a 3D printed bagged chassis, however the vendor has ceased operations to continue modeling in the hobby instead of making it a job.

And don't get me started about Modelhaus...

iBorg Posted January 20, 2022 Posted January 20, 2022 The Perry's grill looks so much better than Jo-han's. Perry's also had the four door Taxi body for Gapp and Roush.

Bugatti Fan Posted July 31, 2022 Posted July 31, 2022 Cottage industries come and go unfortunately for various reasons as most are one man bands working from home. Could be the owner passing away, business taking over family life, not enough demand, simply having enough and deciding to close shop, failure to keep up with demand creating too much pressure on the individual, not being able to sell on the business or simply bad quality. The causes are manyfold.
George Bojaciuk Posted January 5, 2023 Posted January 5, 2023 I was reading this thread from the beginning! Lots of lost good stuff! A name popped up that was of interest… Ed Cervo! I’ve met him at model shows and I believe he was making a 1973 Manta Ray. I bought one. Tonight, I was in my shop and found it. I believe he was linked to Joel Rosen of Motion. I’ve spoken to Joel a number of times from my days at S&W and later when I built a model for a doctor that was a Motion clone. Joel helped me with my Vega by giving me off the shelf part numbers! Here is that Manta Ray! 1

I met him in-person at a NNL East, and ordered bunch of parts from him (mostly wire wheels).
